Great first floor apartment to share

Enjoy peace and comfort as my roommate in a clean, spacious, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, first floor apartment in a 2 story house, where the landlord lives upstairs. You have a large full bath adjacent to your good sized bedroom toward the rear of the apartment by the full kitchen. So you have quiet and privacy. Your bedroom is unfurnished. I may have a dresser to give you, but no extra bed.

The neighborhood in Portage Park is called Six Corners for its proximity (about 4 blocks away) to the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue, Cicero Avenue and Irving Park Road. It's a safe, clean, quiet area which is starting to bustle with new business activity, good restaurants, and convenient shopping. The Jewel is only half a mile away. The Blue Line Irving Park stop is about a mile east. Street parking (there is a space in back, but I generally use it myself.) Easy bus transportation on all these major thoroughfares.

I am a longtime collector of Art Deco and Art Nouveau antique artifacts and furniture, as well as vintage posters. The apartment has a dining room and living room which will be furnished with my antiques. My mother, whose works will be hung in the apartment as well, was an outstanding oil painter and student of famed Chicago artist Ed Paschke. So you will be surrounded by vintage art and beauty. If you enjoy playing music, I have a Yamaha Clavinova full sized keyboard and a couple guitars.

I am a longtime arts professional, who has worked as an actor, director, singer, songwriter, musical theater performer/writer, makeup artist, magician and comedy hypnotist! (There are not enough "D's" in "A. D. D." for me!) Apart from vocalizing occasionally, I lead a pretty quiet life when I'm home, and seek a roommate who is similarly sensitive and respectful. I'm pretty much cut from the same cloth as "Frasier"!

I'm open to both older roommates, and young people with old souls. Straight, but LGBTQ friendly. Open to M or F. Part of the unfinished basement is devoted to workshop space which you may ne able to use for craft projects. Washer and dryer in the basement.

No cigarette smokers (but the occasional joint won't bother me). No loud party animals or Trumpers with Leftist Derangement Syndrome. Pets...maybe. Minimum 6 month commitment. Available as soon as March 1, but preferably March 15. Talk to me asap if interested.
