Hey! I’m looking for a roommate for the second bedroom in my 2BR/1BA apartment here in North Center near the Irving Park Brown Line. The rent is $910/month and utilities are split evenly.



The Apartment:

• 2 bed / 1 bath – you’d have one bedroom
• Central AC + heat
• Dishwasher
• Shared washer/dryer in the building
• Beautiful shared back patio
• Free street parking
• Free storage space in the basement

Your room fits a full-sized bed comfortably and has a deep closet for extra storage.

The apartment is a 4 mins walk from the Irving Park Brown Line, and is in front of the 80 Bus Stop. About a 3-4 minute walk to the 9 Bus Stop. It is a safe, family-friendly neighborhood with lots of dogs and nice neighbors (including our upstairs and across the way neighbors, they are great). There is a 24-hour diner next door (Diner Grill), Ritual Coffee by the train stop, and plenty of other restaurants in the area. Apartment is generally quiet, especially with it being off Irving Park.


About Me:

I’m Casey — 37, working as a Customer Success Manager for TEKNEQ. I work from home, am pretty chill, and value a respectful and drama-free living environment. I’m not a clean freak, but I like shared spaces to be reasonably tidy — messy happens, but nothing gross.
I go to the gym a few nights a week, occasionally have a couple friends over (once a year I might have a bigger gathering, nothing wild), and I usually chill in the living room watching movies, TV, or gaming. I’m totally open to splitting common space time if needed. I don’t drink, smoke, or use drugs. Just here living a peaceful adult life.


Meet Bagsby:

I do have a dog — a 10-year-old Pit mix named Bagsby. He’s a total sweetheart once he knows you. He’s great with women and friendly with about 90% of men, but he can be reactive toward a small handful of guys at first. Meeting him a couple of times before moving in would be important, just to make sure everyone’s comfortable.
He doesn’t bark much (only at the door), doesn’t chew, and loves cuddles. If you have guests over, there’s a gate available or he can hang in my room — or he can be out, if he’s been introduced. He’s calm, affectionate, and overall a really good dog.

Looking for someone:

• Age range: ~25–42
• Male or female
• Working professional (preferred)
• Dog-friendly
• Able to pass a credit/background check
• References and no evictions
• Non-smoker (or smoke outside only and keep it clean)
• Limited or no drinking — a beer or glass of wine is fine, but not a heavy drinker
• No hard drugs
• Not a major partier — friends and significant others are welcome to visit, just not move in
• Quiet(ish), especially during work hours (9–5 M–F)
• Communicative, responsible, pays bills on time, and contributes to keeping shared spaces livable

Ideally, you’re someone who’s politically centrist or moderate — or at least respectful of differing views. I’m not looking to turn the apartment into a nightly debate club. I’ve got friends across the spectrum and prefer a chill, live-and-let-live environment over constant political arguments. If you’re super politically active or looking to convert people, this probably isn’t the right fit.
