PLEASE READ REQUIREMENTS BEFORE RESPONDING: This room is ONLY offered to retired, stay-at-home, extroverted, SENIORS 65 or older, female preferred.
Room is furnished but can be UN furnished possibly and in mixed a lock and key for the door. The estate home is enormous so there is plenty of space for your own privacy and space to sit and read a book or watch TV. We have a large family room with comfy couch, fireplace & TV, a separate front living room with couch and a massive dining room with another fireplace and 10 person dining table you are welcome to use for your family or group gatherings. The rustic, French farm house ranch home is designed by an award-wining, interior designer-builder-antique collector and is full of re-purposed country antiques to amuse you and It is immaculately kept with a live-in housekeeper. Walk to forest trails, bus stop and a few restaurants. 1 mile to historic Wagner’s Farmers Market and 15 min drive to Lake Michigan.

We are seeking someone who is also looking for companionship and who does NOT enjoy living alone to add to our social circle. Someone who likes sharing a morning coffee and conversation, or lunch or dinner together, watch the news or maybe go out together shopping. We are NOT looking for super independent, quiet people who come and go. While our estate home is massive and everyone has a lot of privacy and security with locks on their bedroom doors and security cameras around the home we already have 2 other housemates who are super independent, feel like utter strangers and we almost never see them. Please provide some basic information on your personality and what you are seeking. If we both feel this might be a good fit we can verify our identities with a FaceTime call.

Must be OK with a small dog. If you also have a small friendly dog you we would need to check to see if the two dogs get along and you would need to guarantee you would be 100% responded for the dogs care at all times and the damage deposit would increase by $500.

We have been actively screening numerous people to find the right fit. We are NOT looking for just anyone to pay rent. We are looking for a specific person to join our home environment.

The home has 4 LARGE bedrooms (3 on the ground floor and one on the top floor). We have rented out the one on the top floor already ro a woman who is a medical assistant. She works very long hours, comes and goes and we rarely see her or engaged with her. The same goes for our other housemate who is a student in her late 20’s. While the rental income helps with our monthly expenses we were ironically hoping to create a more communal environment for my elderly mom who is in her late 80’s. Lonliness is the number one cause of mental and physical island decline. She spends endless hours alone and it’s not good. She has a full time, live-in caregiver who cooks, cleans and cares for her but she needs more social interactions with others
So we are “considering” renting out the 3 rd bedroom downstairs BUT ONLY to the right person- someone who is around the home a lot and who is an extroverted “people person”. While we have had endless applicants seeking “cheap rent” they do not meet what we are seeking.

1) WHEN would you need to relocate from your current residence? Do you have a specific date or are you flexible?

2) WHY are you choosing to relocate? And WHY would you choose to live with others as opposed to living alone? Have you lived with others before?

3) WHAT is your basic daily routine? (Early riser? Coffee? News or newspaper? Etc…)? Are you a home-body or do you prefer going out a lot?

4) Are you a SENIOR? RETIRED or working from home? Or working outside the home?

5) Do you have any unique, fun or interesting HOBBIES or interests? Do you have FAMILY nearby?

6) Do you have any specific medical conditions or disabilities we should know about?
