Perfect for longer stays. Located in South Evanston near Northwestern University, Lake Michigan, and transit to downtown Chicago. Free street parking. The room is equipped with a code lock.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the spacious remodeled eat-in kitchen with maple cabinets, granite countertops, and two sinks—perfect for cooking and gathering. The home also features a comfortable family room with a couch and work desk, and a chic living room with a baby grand piano and dining area. Outside, the backyard offers a grill, fire pit, and seating area where you can relax and unwind.

You are always welcome to keep completely to yourself. At the same time, the living room and kitchen often become places where tea is shared, ideas are exchanged, and friendships quietly form. The house hosts monthly small gatherings called The Mindful Salon centered around mindfulness, music, shared vegetarian meals and conversations about life. Residents are welcome to join if they wish, but there is never any expectation.

Conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Evanston with vibrant shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants, Greenwood Street beach, biking path along Lake Michigan, Northwestern University, CTA Purple Line, and Metra trains to Chicago. All common areas of the house (kitchen, living room, shared bathrooms, laundry room, etc.) are professionally cleaned once per week. Rent also includes high-speed Wi-Fi, all utilities and free washer/dryer. For added security, the front door is equipped with a RING doorbell camera.

If you have a bike or need a storage for large items, please let me know. There are additional storage areas available in the garage and basement (free or small fee, depending on the items needed to store).

The other bedrooms of the house are occupied by my adult son, Airbnb guests and roommates. The house is pet friendly. The cat named Bullit lives in the living room. I travel a lot with my 2 adorable puppies and only live part-time in the house.
