Location, Location, Location! Immerse yourself in the charm of south Evanston with this rare opportunity to rent a very spacious bedroom located on the 2nd floor of a beautifully renovated 150-year-old historic 6-bedroom home.

The room is fully furnished (queen bed, desk, dresser, mini fridge), featuring large bay windows overlooking a garden, perfect for NU students or traveling nurses, physicians, and other professionals who are in need of comfortable short-term accommodations in Evanston/North Shore/Chicago area. The room is equipped with a code lock.

The location of the house is highly convenient, with a 15-minute walk to Evanston downtown, where you’ll find vibrant shops, boutiques, bars, and restaurants. The beautiful lakefront, bike/running path along the lake, and Lee Street beach are just an 18-minute walk or a short bike ride away. You are welcome to use my paddle board stored at Dempster street beach during the summer.

Public transportation is easily accessible, with the Main Street CTA Purple Line and Metra Stops within a 12-minute walk. A 25-minute Metra train ride will take you to Ogilvie Station in downtown Chicago. Nearby, you’ll find grocery stores such as Jewel, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Valley Produce, all within walking distance. Northwestern University is 1.2 miles away, Evanston Hospital is 2 miles away, St Francis Hospital is 1 mile away, and Northshore Skokie Hospital is 4.2 miles away.

Free easy parking is available on the street directly outside of the house.

Rent includes high-speed Wi-Fi, all utilities, and a bi-weekly cleaning lady who deep cleans all common areas (kitchen, living room, bathrooms, etc.) Short-term and month-to-month rent option is available.

All common areas of the house (kitchen, living room, shared bathrooms, laundry room, etc.) are professionally cleaned once per week. The cleaning lady is available to clean your room for an additional charge. Each guest is responsible to keep the common areas of the house in a clean condition and clean up after themselves in a timely fashion.

Free washer/dryer available on the premises (in the basement). For added security, the front door and side of the house facing the alley are equipped with RING doorbell cameras.

The other 5 bedrooms of the house are occupied by myself, other Airbnb guests and roommates. The house is pet friendly. The cat name Bullit lives in the living room. I travel a lot with my 2 adorable puppies and only live part-time in the house, but there will be always someone to assist you..

If you have a bike or need a storage for large items, please let me know. There are additional storage areas available in the garage and basement (free or small fee, depending on the size and amount of items needed to store).
