Looking for one roommate to share a 2,000 sq ft loft-style coach house on Chicago Ave in West Town. I've been here two years and genuinely love the place — it has real character that's hard to find.
THE SPACE 3 bed / 2 bath, two floors. You'd have the entire first floor to yourself: a quiet, private bedroom with its own bathroom and shower and a closet. I'm upstairs. The unit has exposed brick, high arched ceilings, hardwood floors throughout, and a large kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances. The third bedroom upstairs works best as a home office or guest room — in this setup it's yours to use as you see fit. A dedicated office with a door is a rare thing at this price point in West Town.

ABOUT ME Been in Chicago 5 years. 28-year-old engineer, gone most weekdays, home in the evenings. I play in a pool league, handyman with a workbench, retired rugby player, and cook often — you'll likely benefit from this. Very neighborly, I've made great connections in West Town. I have two cats: Sambuca, a 1.5-year-old black cat who is impossibly sweet and will find her way into your lap, and Kiko, a 2-year-old Siberian who plays fetch and loves belly rubs. Both are girls, spayed, healthy, and surprisingly quiet — you'll only hear them if they're hungry or feeling playful. They're social, not skittish.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR Someone responsible, respectful of shared spaces, ideally working or professional. Cat-friendly is a must. No strong preference on lifestyle as long as we communicate like adults.
A heads up: the second-floor bedrooms don't have closets, so bring a wardrobe or get creative. The downstairs bedroom (yours) has one closet. Storage overall is limited, besides an unfinished basement where I store bulk items — worth knowing before you reach out.
MOVE-IN July 1, 2026 — with potential flexibility for mid-to-late June depending on the current living situation. Worth a conversation if your timeline is earlier.
