Seeking Sublease in Avondale

2bd 2bath apartment in Avondale with walk in closet and lots of natural light seeking sublease for 1 bd/bath Dec 1-May for $1508/mo with opportunity for renewal. I am willing to subsidize to make it $1200/mo for the remainder of the lease.

I’ve just accepted my first contract as a travel nurse and will be leaving next month so I’m looking for someone to take over my lease. Some of the furniture pictured in my room may be left here if you wish to buy it. The bed frame, mattress, side tables, dresser, and vanity are all less than 2 years old.

About the apartment: I have a private bathroom and a walk in closet. The bedroom is large enough to comfortably fit a queen size bed and two side tables. The kitchen has a garbage disposal, gas stove, and a dishwasher. Washer and dryer are in unit. We are on the third floor but there is an elevator. Central heating and cooling as well. Pets are allowed but there is a pet rent fee. There is also parking for free on the street outside or you can pay for a garage spot through the landlords. We are about 3 blocks from the 77 Belmont bus stop, so getting to and from lakeview and the blue line is very easy. I can get to O’Hare in about 40 min on public transportation from my home. The building is secured using butterfly.


About the roommate: Cam is a 25 year old man who works in business (partially from home and partially in office) and the military. He is very clean. We have known each other since college and his apartments have always impressed me by how clean they are. He has a girlfriend but they are long distance so she doesn’t come over often but when she does she usually stays for about a week at a time. He’s quiet and respectful. He does like to play video games on the computer in the evening so I don’t typically hang in the living room in the evenings. He does allow me to have overnight and out of town guests as long as I give him a heads up. He has informed me that he may choose to renew the lease if he gets along well with the sublease, so there is opportunity to resign if you want to stay longer. Cam enjoys cats but does not wish to room with a dog. There is also a park in our backyard for you to enjoy if you want some outdoors time. There are tennis courts and baseball diamonds.

Money stuff: Rent is $1508 per person (1308 after I subsidize 200). There’s an application for a new tenant and a $400 move in fee. Pet fee is $40 a month with a $100 deposit. Utility is $75 per person per month. We pay electricity and WiFi. Cam and I also split a Netflix account which you could take over if you wish (or I think he will probably just cancel it). My half of the utilities/wifi/Netflix has usually ranged between 65-130. Most months it is just 70-80. I’m unsure if there is a garage spot open but Cam pays $150/mo for his. I can enquire if you desire me to.
