Room with postdoc research professional and cats

I have a spare room in an apartment at The Lodge of Athens. My current roommate is moving out- the room will have a bed, a dresser, a desk and chair. There is also a sliding closet for lot’s of clothes hanging and storage options. We have an in-unit washer and dryer. The shared space includes a living room and kitchen. I’m mostly looking for a roommate so I can make some extra savings. I am currently leased until end of May ’26 and will be okay with a roommate who needs something more short-term. The Lodge also has a bus that runs regularly to campus during term time.

I’m a postdoc researcher at the University of Georgia and I have two lovely cats. One is a sweet old girl who is blind and likes to sleep most of the time, the other is an incredibly loving and neurotic girl with a bit more energy. She spends most of her time on the porch. They are both indoor cats. I am not quiet, but not rowdy either. I like to sing in the shower and potter around the house talking to my cats. I am very social and have friends over for regularly food, film nights, and just any excuse to hang out. Any roommate would be incredibly welcome to partake. I also like to quilt, and work from home a lot of the time.
