A private bedroom is available in a spacious 2,600 sq. ft. 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home. You’ll have full access to common areas and share the house with only me (and occasionally my daughter when she’s home from college). One room is dedicated as a home office, and the other is a guest room, so the house never feels crowded.
The Ideal Roommate: I am a 56-year-old professional (with the energy of someone in their 40s) working in advanced microscopy research at Scripps. I’m active, clean, and a big believer in a positive, respectful home environment.
This home is a perfect fit for a second shift worker or someone with a non-traditional schedule. I work a standard 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, M-F schedule, but I am also a semi-pro drummer.
Lifestyle & Rhythms:
• Music: I practice drums for about an hour daily (usually between 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM). My band practices or records here once a week (Wed/Thu) from 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM.
• Cleanliness: I cook most meals at home and keep things tidy. I’m looking for someone who shares that "leave no trace" philosophy in the kitchen and living areas.
• Vibe: I’m liberal and value a home free of high-conflict political or religious tension. I don’t watch TV, but you are welcome to - as long as we aren’t looping Fox News in the common areas. I’m a great listener and very relaxed. I respect other people’s space and values.

• Rent: $1,300/month + $200 for utilities (water, electric, internet).
• Move-in: First and last month’s rent due at signing ($2600 total).
• Terms: 30 days' notice required.
• Couples: Open to considering a couple for an adjusted rent rate.
