Budget SF-Berkeley Large bdrm+Bath in Richmond
WALKING DISTANCE TO BART -- RICHMOND EAST BAY-170 SQ/FT FULLY FURNISHED ROOM+BATHROOM-$795/MONTH INCLUDING WI-FI AND UTILITIES
Welcome to our home in the Clinton Estates, a safe, quiet, tree-lined neighborhood that feels miles away from city bustle yet sits perfectly between Berkeley, San Francisco, and Marin County. It’s a place for professional commuters, travelers, writers, students and visiting scholars who value comfort, light, easy access across the Bay, and a quiet space to decompress after a long day of commuting and professional work.
**The Space**
Your private downstairs room is bright and spacious, with a full bathroom of your own. There’s a comfortable full-size bed, a large walk-in closet, a writing desk, and a bookshelf waiting for your books or notes. Shared are our generous living room, well-equipped kitchen with granite counters and stainless-steel appliances, and a sunlit dining room that opens to a peaceful backyard. Hardwood floors and big windows make the whole house glow in the afternoon light.
**Amenities**
I’ve set the home up for comfort and practicality:
Super-fast Wi-Fi (750–1000 Mbps)
Laundry room with new washer and dryer
Utilities included
Twice-monthly professional cleaning (guest share $150/month)
Plenty of safe, free street parking
Large well-equipped kitchen
A quiet, respectful atmosphere that suits reading, resting, or creative work
Please note: I’m severely allergic to onions, so guests may not cook or consume them.
**Getting Around**
The Richmond subway BART station is just 0.8 miles away, with direct trains to Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, and both airports. The 72 Bus runs nearby along San Pablo Avenue, and the Richmond Ferry (2 miles away, free parking) glides across the bay to SF’s Embarcadero. If you drive, you’ll have quick access to I-80 and I-580. The El Cerrito Del Norte security-guarded park-and-ride is a short drive away.
**The Neighborhood**
Within walking distance are grocery stores, global eateries, and the beloved Catahoula Coffee Roastery. Around the corner lies a green park with tennis courts, basketball hoops, a soccer field, and a playground. A short drive brings you to the East Bay’s gorgeous hiking trails and sweeping views—plus more sunshine than fog-bound San Francisco ever gets.
