Private Furnished Basement Bedroom - room includes queen bed, basic dresser, desk, streaming TV, closet, linen closet, and 1/2 bath (sink/toilet) *shared shower in upstairs bathroom. Washer/Dryer also on the upper floor. There is a quiet common space living room also located in the basement. Although not meant to be exclusively included with the bedroom, I rarely use the living room space in the basement - typically only to use the treadmill, as the entire basement space is gated off from the main floor. The bedroom itself has a privacy door off the basement living room.

In the kitchen, you will be given pantry space, shared refrigerator space, and use of kitchen appliances. There is a large backyard with a patio and gas grill. My house is a tri-level layout where the main floor has a common space family room, kitchen, and access to the backyard. The shared shower and washer/dryer are located on the top floor. I, the homeowner, have my private bedroom and 2nd bedroom/home office located on the top floor.

I (Homeowner) am a work from home professional - working in education administration support. I’m pretty much online from 7:30 am or 8am to 4 or 5pm (roughly) depending on my meeting schedule. I also have 4 large friendly dogs - one of which is a 18 month, high energy puppy (think Boxer personality). The other 3 are ages 4y, ~7y, and 11.5y, so a meet/greet is required - I want to make sure that you are comfortable with them.

I have an application and lease process for everyone’s safety and security. Proof of income, emergency contacts required. References preferred. Rent is monthly and 1st month rent paid in full before / upon move in is required. However, split month rent payment options beginning the 2nd month, might be considered for the right fit. If you are a graduate student, traveling professional, teacher, or need a secure transitional rental because you are new to the area or trying to save for an apartment, AND you LOVE dogs, this is the room for you.

** The basement is gated off, so the dogs have no access to that space.

Utilities include fiber optic WiFi, water, gas, electric and trash! Room is ready for move in upon application approval. A 5 month lease preferred at $625.00 per month, but I will consider a shorter lease , such as 3-4 month lease at $700/mo. with an option for month to month renewal up to 2 additional months. * I will consider renting to a couple for $100 per month extra rent. **For an extra $25 a month I can include bedding, use of kitchenware (plates, cups, utensils, & cookware), and vacuum (one that is not shared). Tenant would still be responsible for their own consumables and food).
