Quirky colorful gay guy looking for new roommate/s

Things were really great with my new roommate until she was hit by an SUV while riding her bicycle and suffered horrific injuries. (She’s expected to make a full recovery eventually. She’s tough as nails and has a relentlessly positive attitude, thankfully.) She’s recovering at her boyfriend’s family’s house now, and I need to find someone to rent her room in our apartment.

We had... well... I now have a 2 bedroom, one bath apartment near 47th and Otis in Wheat Ridge. It would be nice for 1-2 new roommates. In a roommate, I hope to find someone I can be friendly with for the lease term and then if we end up being actual friends after that, that’s a nice bonus. I’m pretty laidback at home, but I like to keep the common areas clean, food picked up so that we don’t get bugs, and all of the good stuff like that. I am open to roommates of either gender but based on my extensive roommate history, I get along somewhat better with female roommates than males. I am also open to having roommate game nights etc, but not especially married to that concept. As long as we can say hello when we see each other and have occasional conversations, that’s what I look for. As far as pets, I am open minded-if it doesn’t tear up my stuff or injure me, I generally don’t mind, although I do have a severe phobia of snakes. When it comes to smoking and drugs, I make no judgment, although I do ask smoking be done outside and nothing illegal be kept in the apartment. Alcohol is no problem either way with me; I do drink a few drinks on rare occasions myself.

As for myself, I’m really colorful outside of home but prefer a home which is my island of sanity, so I am looking for something peaceful and chill.

If you want to know a little bit more about me, I am a Murray, Kentucky native and a 2009 Murray State University graduate. My degree is in Theatre and I have produced, directed, and written three professional plays in Minneapolis and Seattle. I played soccer for 16 years, which was fulfilling, fun, and I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything... but now my right knee is absolutely destroyed, so... Also, I am a National Weather Service trained storm spotter and a semi professional storm chaser. I co-own the family farm in Kentucky with my cousin. I am an only child, and sadly my dad has passed and my mom is terminally ill with Alzheimer’s dementia. I have been with my boyfriend off and on since 2008, even though life circumstances have forced us to be long distance for the time being. Three final things about me-I lost two friends in fires in college, so fire safety is a huge thing for me. I was recently diagnosed with type two diabetes, and I am allergic to onions and oranges.
