Summer Sublet!

I am offering a furnished sublet in my bright, sunny room in the Whittier neighborhood with a great roomie from June 1 to August 30 (flexible on dates, earlier move-in possible!)

The room:
A substantial amount of space, this is really two rooms in one, with two different entrances and French doors that can separate the rooms when needed or you can leave them open for more spaciousness. I use the bigger space as my bedroom and the smaller one as my home office and guest room. Beautiful hardwood floors, tons of natural light, walk-in closet with lots of storage. I am offering it fully furnished with a bed, dresser, futon, and desk, but if you have furniture of your own I can also accommodate that.

The place:
A 2-bedroom upper part of a duplex in the cute, quiet Whittier neighborhood, 5 minutes from the Whittier Cafe and Five Points Historic District, close to many smaller parks and a 15 minute walk to City Park. It has a backyard with garden beds shared with downstairs neighbors, and an upper landing with a view of the city + mountains! The room you’ll live in is on the second floor with the kitchen, living area, and bathroom. Laundry and Ash’s room are on the 3rd floor. We also have additional storage in the stairway downstairs and shed outside, and two off-street parking spots.

The roommate:
Ash (she/they) is 29 years old and moved to Denver this past year from the east coast. She works at a climbing gym. She loves being outside -- snowboarding, biking, hiking, running their first marathon in May! -- and also is into pottery, gardening, and leftist politics. Ash is a great person to chat, hang out, and explore with and this summer, she has a lineup of backpacking trips and travel so she will be gone many weekends!

The details:
Rent is $1200/month and utilities will likely be around $50/month in the summer. You would likely have the option to re-sign the lease at the end of the period for a year. We would sign a sublet agreement before move-in.

You:
Queer or LGBTQ-ally, responsible & communicative, wanting a chill and cozy vibe in the home. I think this would be a great setup for someone just moving to Denver, doing a summer internship, or just in between leases.
