Large Room w/ensuite in Scenic Scotts Valley

The house is located on the northern side of Scotts Valley, near the Multiversity. Security deposit is two months' rent, $3300. $1700/month not including utilities, OK to split between two occupants. Minimum commitment 1 year.

We're seeking new occupants for a room in our home following our current housemates moving out. The available room is best suited to either a couple or two independent roommates. It is the master bedroom of the home, approximately 220ft², located on the second story; it features a full attached private bathroom with separate water-closet (toilet), shower, and tub. The room itself is carpeted with lots of natural light, including a skylight in the bathroom. There are also two full-size closets build into the wall, separated by floor to ceiling mirrored sliding doors.

The shared spaces include a wide, spacious living room with plenty of windows and high ceilings, a dining area with similar features, and a large kitchen including a full stove/oven, a dishwasher, and a double basin sink with wash-wand. The fridge is new as of last year and there's a storage pantry off the kitchen.

There are two balconies, one smaller off the street-facing side of the house and one private, split-level patio off the back of the house, fully fenced in. There's also a garage which contains a washer and dryer unit and is well suited as a hang-out spot for moderate gatherings.

The driveway is steep but not too tough once you get the hang of it. We have one car, and there is room for *no more than three cars* in the driveway. Additional guests *must* park in the pre-school parking lot a block away.

My partner and I are a trans, married couple in our late twenties and have lived in this house for a year, but more broadly in the Santa Cruz area since 2018. We're typically homebodies but tend to keep to ourselves in our room. We like our privacy, but we're very friendly and would like to get to know our new housemates :) Neither of us are partiers, but we don't mind the occasional event. We like a clean home and would appreciate clear communication with regards to chore planning.

Remy (they/them) has a collection of retro game consoles and games and likes to write fiction in their free time, among other creative pursuits. They also play guitar and paint, both digitally and traditionally.

Eric (she/her) a history buff and is always down for an engaging conversation about a variety of topics.
