Bedroom for Rent

-About Your New Room-
Private bedroom with closet. Door knob has lock and you would have your own key. Fresh paint, it’s white (open to you painting if you’re staying long term - would be written into your contract). Dark wood floor (can be vacuumed or mopped [both a vacuum and mop w/ bucket will be accessible at all times due to us having a dog], cannot be steam mopped or it ruins the wood). Ceiling light for light, there are electrical outlets on each wall - 2 plugs each. There is a curtain rod with curtains provided, can be taken out if preferred. Okay for you to hang stuff on the walls with nails or screws if you’re staying long term - would be written into your contract. Window faces onto a side yard with view of a wooden fence, no one walks past your window on a daily basis. We only access that side yard when removing recyclables about every other month and can always give you a heads up before accessing if you prefer.

Bathroom is a shared hallway bathroom. Shower/tub combo with shower curtain provided, shower curtain can be taken out if preferred. Bathroom would be shared with future tenant (we will be renting out another bedroom in the house at a future date). Bathroom has a vanity with 1 sink, you would have a designated drawer and cupboard in addition to access to 1 shared cupboard.

You would have access to the living room, kitchen, and yards. Living room has couches and TV. Kitchen has microwave, gas stove top with double oven, countertop space for eating. There is a courtyard by the front door that is nice to sit. The backyard has a concrete patio that’s a good spot to bbq. Our last tenant had a mini fridge in the room, if you need access to the kitchen fridge - that can be discussed. Our last 2 tenants have used the laundromat, if you need access to the laundry room - that can be discussed. Our last 2 tenants have not used the garage, if you need access to the garage - that can be discussed.

Close access to 101 freeway. Walkable access to bus stops. If you have a car there is a dedicated parking spot in the driveway for 1 car. Street parking for more than 1 car. Close access for multiple grocery stores, laundromats, pharmacies, coffee shops, restaurants, etc.

-About Your New Roommates-
We are a big family 😁 There are 4 of us and 1 dog here daily, 2 grown ups and 2 babies (a 5 month old and a almost 2 year old), and 2 teenagers every other week. We stay busy with daily extracurricular activities and community events on the weekends and are always on the go. Daytime is quiet in the house from 830am-4pm, evenings can be boisterous with babies playing, TV on in the background, dinner being made and homework getting done. We are family focused, the wellbeing of our children is everything. We’re quiet by 10pm and the babies usually sleep through the night with no big noises during the night. Our previous roommates have had no complaints about nighttime noise levels. Our dog is a big girl, 80lbs on a skinny day - so you must be okay with big dogs. She’s very friendly and will bark excitedly when you get home and greet you at the front door. Our kids are friendly and will also greet you when you get home, you’ll basically be a new family member 😅. We respect your privacy and don’t pry into your life but will greet you and ask you politely how you’re doing or how your day was. We’re totally okay with you being a room hermit or hanging out in the common areas if you’re up to socializing.
