Single room in North Park in queer household!

Hello! I’m moving out of the area soon and looking for someone to take over my room in a cute little apartment in North Park. November’s rent will be taken care of.

It’s a great area, very walkable, and we’re friends with all our neighbors, as the complex only contains 8 units. The apartment is on the first floor but does have a couple stairs to get up to the front door. The outdoor common space is filled with flowers and other plants, to the point where passersby tend to stop to admire the yard lmao.

There’s a single washer-dryer onsite, but I’ve literally never seen anyone outside our apartment use it, so it’s pretty much always available. It takes quarters, not card, so we’ve been splitting the responsibility of going to a bank to get quarter rolls every few weeks.

Water and sewage are included in rent, but electricity, gas, and WiFi are not. Electricity is anywhere between $15-40 a month per person and WiFi is $30.

There’s no dishwasher, so all dishes are done by hand. Also no microwave. There is a toaster oven, though, and we can procure a microwave if that is a dealbreaker lol. There is a window AC unit for the room, but it needs some repairs as it’s rather loud.

The dog you may see lurking around the photos is mine and she will not be there. So will all the dog stuff currently cluttering up the living room. The complex is pet friendly, but the current roommate is allergic to cats :( that being said, if you have a cat but this seems perfect, reach out anyway! They’ve successfully lived with cats before and are willing to try it again for the right person.

My current roommate is amazing. They’re heavily involved in the marine conservation scene and work closely with children and animals. They’re one of my closest friends and a very easy person to live with. They’re a fantastic communicator and great at sharing space. The only reason I’m moving out is because I’m moving in with my long-term partner!

No pictures of the room because it’s currently a MESS while I try to get packed up, sorry! Ask and I’ll send a picture of it in DMs. It’s about 10x10, for reference, and includes a closet and one window. It lets in plenty of natural light if you’re not a vampire with blackout curtains like me.
