Private Bedroom and Bathroom in Historic 1904 Bank

I'm looking for a roommate to rent the second bedroom and bathroom in my large 2-bed, 2-bath 1,700 sq ft house in Bankers Hill, San Diego, California. It's a truly beautiful historic old home built in 1904 and completely renovated in early 2000s. The city of San Diego has classified it as a historical monument. I think the photos will do most of the talking but it's a stunning house. I'm looking for a short-term renter starting on April 1st, 2026, until July 1st, 2026. I rent the house, not own and that's when I plan on leaving the country. You could take over the lease on July 1st, 2026 if you can find a roommate then. Rent is $1,700/mo.. Deposit is $1,700. You'd also be responsible for half of electricity which typically totals $120/mo but can be up to $400/mo during summer months.

There's plenty of free, unmetered street parking available, full-sized washer and dryer in the unit. The bedroom and bathroom is fully furnished exactly as it's pictured. I have enough storage space if you don't want the furniture already provided. The house is 7 blocks away from Balboa Park and 6 blocks from Little Italy. It's literally the most perfect location for a 20/30/40-something living an urban life in San Diego. It sits up on the hill and has a stunning view of the San Diego Bay (pictured). The house does have central A/C and heating but the ocean breeze keeps it plenty cool 9 months out of the year. There's also a ton of storage space in the basement and the garage.

A little about me, I'm 37, straight white single male. I'm very active on the weekends as I surf and sail but I do work from home as a B2B Sales Consultant. I would prefer a male roommate but I'm open to a female roommate too. I'm sorry but no dogs allowed. One or two cats would be okay. One last thing is I keep things pretty tidy, I just need a roommate with reasonable hygiene and who always cleans up after themselves.
