Private First-Floor Suite Feel, Bath + Garage

Private first-floor bedroom and dedicated full bathroom available now in a three-story townhome-style apartment at Dylan Point Loma.

Rent is $1,695/month and includes reasonable utilities, Wi‑Fi, and one garage parking space. A $500 refundable security deposit is requested. Lease would run through approximately the first week of August 2027.

The available space is on the first floor and has a suite feel, with more separation and privacy than a typical roommate setup. The bedroom is approximately 10 ft × 11 ft and has an exterior-locking door so you can securely lock your room when away. The private bathroom has a full tub and shower.

My bedroom and my 2-year-old daughter’s bedroom are on the third floor. The large shared kitchen, open living area, and small balcony are on the middle floor. The washer and dryer are on the top floor. Because the bedrooms are separated by two floors, there is generally very little sound transfer between the first-floor bedroom and the third-floor bedrooms.

The room is currently unfurnished and includes a desk. Furnishing may be possible if helpful. The home has central heat and A/C, and I am exploring a dedicated cooling solution for the downstairs bedroom.

Dylan Point Loma is a gated community with a pool and jacuzzi, fitness center, clubhouse, barbecue/common areas, and occasional community events. Great central San Diego location near Point Loma, Ocean Beach, Mission Bay, and the beach, with convenient I-5 and I-8 access.

About the household: I am a 44-year-old professional and co-parent to a wonderful 2-year-old daughter. She is with me about 50% of the time. When she is here, the home is quiet and family-oriented, mostly meals, toddler activities, bath time, books, and early evenings. I do not host frequent gatherings or parties.

During the other approximately 50% of the time, I am often at my boyfriend’s home or away on trips, so the apartment can be especially quiet.

I would love to find a kind, responsible roommate who is comfortable around a young child and enjoys a calm, clean, respectful, and communicative home. The best fit would be someone who is open to being a friendly, positive presence in the home and might naturally be comfortable spending a few minutes with my daughter from time to time, such as keeping her company while I finish getting ready or helping with a small morning task. This is not an expectation or a condition of housing, just something that would be lovely in the right shared-home dynamic.

If we ever arrange babysitting in advance, it would always be optional and paid separately.

I prefer a pet-free home, but I may consider a well-behaved pet for the right fit. Any pet would need approval from both me and Dylan Point Loma, and the roommate would be responsible for any pet deposit, monthly pet rent, or related community fees required by Dylan.

Please no smoking or vaping inside the home. EV charging is not included in rent but may be available at cost with advance approval.

Dylan Point Loma requires all residents to complete its approval and credit-check process. I will also ask for employment/income verification and references so we can both feel comfortable with the arrangement.
