Hello!

We’re Brooklyn & Richie, newlyweds in our early 50s, and we’re excited to be starting this next chapter together — a new marriage, a new home, and a whole new life as we ring in the New Year.

We’re a friendly, kind, and thoughtful couple who really value having a peaceful, comfortable, and respectful home. We’re pretty easygoing, but we’re also private people who enjoy our quiet time and our routines. Most evenings, you’ll probably find us at home listening to music, watching a movie, or simply relaxing.

We’re looking for a roommate who appreciates the same things: a peaceful relaxed home, privacy, cleanliness, honesty, reliability, and a drama-free environment.

A Little About Our Household

We have three small dogs who are very much our fur children and part of the family. They’re all very well behaved. They’re indoor/outdoor pups and even have their own little suite in the garage, so they have their own designated spaces and won’t be taking over the entire house.

We love to cook together, so we will be happy to share meals from time to time.

We both enjoy our privacy, alone time, and having our own routines. When we’re home, we’ll generally keep to ourselves, but we’re always happy to say hello, chat, and get to know the person sharing our home.

We’re simply looking for someone who enjoys that same balance — someone who is friendly and comfortable sharing a home with others, but who also has their own interests, routines, and downtime.

We’re clean people and take pride in keeping our home that way. We definitely don’t expect perfection, but we do believe everyone should clean up after themselves in shared spaces and treat the home with the same care and respect they would want from others.
We rarely have guests, but if we do, we’ll always communicate that ahead of time. We ask for the same courtesy in return. We’re not a party house, and we rarely have large gatherings. Mostly at a birthday or holiday. We could discuss you inviting a few people over as well during these times. Overnight guests would need to be discussed and agreed upon beforehand.
Our goal is for everyone in the home to feel comfortable, secure, and able to enjoy their own space without unexpected activity or disruption.

The Room & Shared Areas

We'd like to apologize for the photos, what we have is the photos we took while we were originally viewing and touring the home. At that time, the home was still furnished.
The house and your room should be move-in ready approximately January 1st. We’re still putting our finishing touches on the property and making it feel like home before we can all move in together.
There have now had updates of a new roof, new A/C unit, as well as a whole house fan, and cameras surrounding the entire perimeter of the house. The front and back yards are also being relandscaped and updated.
The room will be unfurnished. but If you need a bed, we do have a clean, gently used queen-size bed available. It has never had pets on or near it. You’re welcome to use it, or if you decide you’d like to keep it, we can discuss purchasing it.
You’ll have your own bedroom and hallway bathroom (the bathroom has a heated ceiling lamp for chilly cold mornings and evenings. You will also have shared use of the kitchen and laundry room, which is located in the garage. The only times we would ask to share your bathroom is when I have to wash my doodles (I'll scrub the bathroom chlan when I'm done) and the occasional need for a 2nd rest room.
You’ll have your own refrigerator/freezer in the garage, giving you plenty of room for your personal groceries and food.

There is also plenty of street parking available. We do have a 3rd parking spot where RV access is.

We’re looking for a tenant who is looking for 1 year plus- however we are comfortable with 6-month commitment to start. At the end of those six months, we’ll sit down together and reevaluate to make sure continuing the tenancy is still a good fit for everyone.

Ultimately, we’re hoping to find someone who wants a peaceful, clean, comfortable place to live and understands that being a good roommate is about mutual respect, communication, consideration, and giving each other space.
