Location:
Minutes from the beach, downtown Dana Point, and the harbor, and just around the corner from Ocean Ranch Village's shopping and entertainment (think Trader Joe's, Cinepolis, Board & Brew, CVS, Ralphs, Starbucks, I Love Bagels, Zen Sushi, Luna Grill, and so much more, plus Project Social and the new Mother's Market just down the hill)... this location is a dream!

Apartment & Community:
I have a spacious 2 bed 2 bath, ground floor apartment in Bear Brand that's just steps from one of two pools. You can literally walk out the front door in your bathing suit and go for a swim in the grotto, lay out and get a tan, or unwind in the hot jacuzzi with a cold drink. It has the cutest brook running through the area too. You might even see the occasional turtle or catch Mr. and Mrs. Duck taking a stroll.
It's a beautiful, pet-friendly community, complete with lush greenery, fountains, footbridges, and waterfalls. Seriously, when you open the windows, you can hear the water flowing just a few feet away, the birds chirping, see the sun shining - it's paradise!
It also has a community fitness center, barbecues, business center/lounge, and firepit.
There is security patrolling daily and nightly, and the 5-star maintenance team is always extremely quick and kind whenever we need something fixed or looked at.

The apartment itself is complete with WiFi, in-unit laundy, dishwasher, air conditioning, heating, and a gas fireplace. It has a spacious private patio with a vintage dining set (pictured) and conversation pit style lounge seating. I've also been tending to herbs (mint, dill, rosemary, and lemonbalm), plants, and flowers out there, and keep a hummingbird feeder!

Furnishing:
The available room is currently set up with a queen sized bed, bedside table, tall chest of drawers, dresser, cabinet, and mounted Roku TV. These may be available for purchase upon move in, but I will have to confirm with my roommate. The room also has a large closet with three hanging doors and built in cabinets next to it for extra storage.
Depending on how you decide to furnish the room, you would likely be able to fit a desk as well if need be. Or fit a king sized bed with two bedside tables instead!
You also have your own bathroom with a tub and shower. This is technically the guest bath in the hallway, but it is right outside your bedroom door. I have my own en suite so I rarely use that one :)
The shared spaces are fully furnished, of course. I really love interior design, so I'm hoping to upgrade the living room some time this year or early next with a nice couch, reading chair, modern lighting, a rug, coffee table, art and plants. But as you can see, I've had fun so far with the breakfast nook, coffee bar (Breville, Nespresso, and pour over), and patio ;)

Parking:
We have access to one covered spot and one parking pass, which my roommate and I have been swapping every month or so. Note that guest parking overnight is sparse and monitored, but it hasn't been a problem for us.

Cost of Living:
Rent for the room and bathroom is $1850 on the first of every month. Note that the community also charges a $50 fee for electronically submitting rent. Kinda sucks, but if you don't want that extra $50/month tacked on, I believe you can send in a check or drop one off at the front office.
Utilities/WiFi and monthly cleaners are not included in the rent, but anticipate approximately $200 per month depending on the season and the use of the AC/Heat/Gas/Water.

I'm open to a short stay at 4 months minimum (so from September to the end of the year), but ideally would like someone more long-term; No maximum time as of now.

About You:
Ideally a female professional in her late 20s, 30s, or 40s who is kind, considerate, clean, happy, and friendly. (I am open to a male candidate if it's the right fit.) I'm really looking for someone who is responsible, has a growth mindset, is empathetic, and can effectively communicate. It's a chill household, but, having had some bad roomate experiences in the past, I want to make sure there's still mutual respect.
Stable income is also a must, ideally with a 9-5 professional lifestyle.
Overnight guests to a minimum, unless otherwise discussed, i. e. a revolving door of strange men is a definite no from me, dawg, but a partner or friend staying over here and there is totally cool.
Although I'm not a stickler, willing to split household responsibilities in shared spaces like dishes, fridge space, tidying up, and vacuuming on occasion is essential for both of us.
Someone with healthy habits like me would be great too - I enjoy eating well, working out, going on walks, maintaining my mental and emotional wellbeing through spirituality and psychology, spending time with family and friends, etc.
I'm also open to pets if they're well trained and well behaved! I love furry friends <3

About Me:
I am a 32 year old professional female working a hybrid job in sales for an engineering firm by day, and a writer of novels by night! So of course, I love writing, but I also enjoy travelling, gardening, music, art, interior design, cooking on occasion, movies, binge-worthy shows, content creation/social media, working out (I have a membership at EoS in San Clemente), animals, psychology (I'm a professional life coach too, with a masters in positive psych), learning, and helping others.
I'm outgoing, funny, friendly, and love good conversation. I consider myself an ambivert who enjoys alone time as much as I enjoy hanging with my loved ones or meeting new people.
I rarely drink now, but like a glass of wine or fun cocktail here and there! I also don't smoke unless socially, and not ever inside the house. Our community is technically non-smoking, just FYI.
I grew up in Dana Point and my parents still live in that house, so I like to visit them and our dog often. My dad sometimes stops by the apartment to help me with things that dads are good at, or my mom will come drop something off. I have besties nearby too (two live just across the main street), and a boyfriend that lives less than ten minutes away - he visits fairly often and stays over some nights. We're both considerate of others and don't stay up too late, so no worries there.

Life at the apartment has been a dream for me over the last year, and although I'm sad for my roommate to go, I'm hoping to find a great roommate that will appreciate the space as much as I do!
