Boho-Gothic Haven: Furnished Room & Mellow Vibes

Looking for a safe, mellow, and highly creative space to call home? If you appreciate a home with personality, off-beat humor, and a peaceful vibe, you’ll fit right in.

The People:
We are a couple of free-spirited Gen Xers who love a relaxed, safe, and welcoming home base. Our space leans into a distinct bohemian-gothic aesthetic, which means you'll be greeted by our favorite velociraptor "hunting trophy" proudly guarding the fireplace. We appreciate good humor, love movies & all things ren faire, and balance a creative environment with a quiet, secure, and respectful household rhythm.

Your Space:
• The Room: Fully loaded with a comfy queen bed, dresser, nightstand, desk, velvet accent chair, smart TV, wall art, and great storage (closet + overhead cabinets). Featuring hardwood floors, a ceiling fan, blackout curtains, and privacy window treatments.
• The Bathroom: Shared with one female (27) roommate.
• Parking: Easy street parking.

The Kitchen & Amenities
• All Utilities Included: Wi-Fi, gas, electric, water, and trash are all covered in the rent.
• Fully Stocked Kitchen: It’s heavily stocked with tons of gear! You’ll have your own dedicated pantry space and full access to everything from a slow cooker to pizza screens and cake pans. If you like to cook or bake, the tools are here for you.
• The Yard: With mature navel orange, meyer lemon, and loquat trees, you'll be sure to keep free from scurvy! There is also plenty of space if you have a green thumb and want to garden.
• Soap: Yes, that's right, you get soap included...hint hint, you will be living with a professional soapmaker & formulator so this place always smells great!

The Creature Features:
Our unique household includes a few quiet, non-human residents:
• One sweet, senior pocket dog who will act like he's a Karen but will quickly warm up to you should cheese or bacon ever be offered to him. After that, he'll probably ignore you until he notices you are enjoying a meal.
• Two strictly display-only tanks housing a pair of White's tree frogs and a pair of black emperor scorpions (the scorps stay entirely in their enclosures for show only).
• Note: Because of our current setup, we can't take on any more free-roaming pets, though caged or tanked animals are welcome.

Vibes & House Rules:
We love a relaxed, safe, and somewhat quiet environment.
• Inclusivity: We are LGBTQ+ friendly....your personality is what is important
• Habits: Smoking is outdoors only (vaping inside is totally fine). Drinking is cool, just keep it out of the "excessive" zone and we'll be good.
• Communication: Still the best way to keep a home mellow and smoothly functioning. Renting a room here also means you'll have folks who will also have your back should an emergency arise.
• Overall vibe: This is a living breathing functioning house and not a museum. Life happens, messes can happen when creativity abounds, things can break, whatever. We do what we can and don't expect people to walk on eggshells thinking this place has to look like a copy of better homes & gardens
