My plans changed, so I'm looking for someone to take over my spot in a 3 bed / 2 bath Santa Monica apartment from September, with the lease running through June 2027.

The room is the largest of the three bedrooms and the only one with its own private attached bathroom, plus a walk-in closet. I'm happy to leave the bed, desk, and the rest of the furniture in the photos at no cost if you want it (worth around $500), so you can move in with just a suitcase.

You'd be living with two students who are staying through the end of the lease. Both are clean, quiet, and easy to live with.

The apartment is in the Pico District: one block from Santa Monica College, walkable to groceries, a short ride to the beach, and 30-40 minutes to UCLA/Westwood on the Big Blue Bus (Rapid 12 / R7). Great fit for a student year, and the June 2027 end date lines up with the school year.

Rent is $1,299/mo, with utilities, parking, and amenity fees separate. This is a proper lease takeover, not a sublet: you apply with the landlord, get approved, and go on the lease as a tenant, with the security deposit transferring directly. You'll need proof of enrollment or income, or a parent guarantor.
