[[TLDR: We have 2 shared spots. 1 spot for a woman, 1 spot for a guy, left in *shared* space. You must be 21+, non-smoker.]]
Hey, I'm Fletcher (sometimes Cap'n) and for the last 14 years I've run a Community House in Harvard Heights called The Ship. Rather than a bunch of people feeling like everyone else is in their way and what they really wanted was a single apartment, our house is for people who like and even prefer living with other people. There's no particular "thing" to our house as there might be with other co-housing or co-ops, like religion, sobriety, veg-ism, etc. The only principle is a living situation that works for everyone.
We have shared spots available right now. We have no single rooms at this time, but anyone in a shared room could move into a single room if one came available (first-come/first-served basis).
Two years ago, one of our Shipmates passed away in his sleep. He had the largest upstairs bedroom, and understandably, lots of people have some trepidation about sleeping in that bedroom (there's nothing wrong with the room-- it's just the idea of it)-- and we would never conceal the fact just to get someone in, but if we don't get two people to take it, we can do some rearranging to work with the space available.
The spots available are in the coolest room temp wise (it faces West and gets those shore breezes, but it's shaded from the late-day sun by these giant oleander(?) trees). We already have one woman for those spots (she lives here now), so we're looking for other women to share it.
We have a dog here, but we're not accepting any other free-roaming animals. You should be a dog person (it's a good way to be in life, anyway).
