Detached Highland Park Studio

Hey there!

We (married couple, late 30s) have a detached studio apartment available adjacent to our Highland Park home. We're offering a flexible month-to-month arrangement with no set lease or application process, making it a great transitional spot. Most tenants have stayed 6 months to a year, with our most recent tenant having been here for two full years. Studio includes kitchenette complete with sink, medium sized mini-fridge, microwave, hot plate, and countertop space, a good-sized bathroom that has its own closet space and bathtub, and there is additional storage available under the main house or in the studio attic. High efficiency laundry is on site, and there's an outdoor living space that includes a homemade bouldering wall and fitness equipment that you're welcome to use so long as you do it safely. Utilities are included in the rental price (yes, this means fiberoptic wifi). Best for a single tenant, but we can consider couples as well for marginally increased price. Street parking has never been an issue here, and there's usually a spot directly in front of the house.

There is currently a queen Tuft and Needle mattress w/frame in the studio as well, but you're welcome to bring your own. And while the room is furnished, you're welcome to have us remove any items you don't want in the unit.

It's a quiet spot in a quiet neighborhood, easily walkable to both main strips on York and Fig. There are friendly cats on the property that mainly hang out with us in the main house, and you can interact with them as often or as little as you like. We do hang in the outdoor space from time to time, but we're respectful and take care to not be disruptive, and we always communicate any events we might have, like having friends over, etc. We're pretty busy with work and an active outdoor lifestyle, and you may not see much of us, though we'll be there for you as soon as possible should you need anything.
