We seek a long term ROOMMATE to create a peaceful and supportive home, starting April 1st.
There are 6 rooms in our Del Rey mini-mansion nestled among Culver City, Playa Vista, Marina Del Rey, and Venice Beach.
• BEDROOMS feature a bed, nightstand, desk, chair, spacious closet space, dresser, and ample shelf space.
• SHARED amenities include an entertainment center in the living room, laundry, A/C, high-speed WIFI, desk area, kitchen, outdoor gym, and fire pit. We also share a serene balcony. Street parking is never an issue.
• CLEANING We do all the cleaning in shared areas, as long as you clean up after yourself. Day-to-day cleaning expectations are as simple as this - leave no trace. We have a regularly scheduled full house cleaning day which includes hiring someone to assist with the general cleaning of our home — for maintenance, upkeep, and lifestyle quality. The price that you pay includes basic monthly cleaning of your bedroom and bathroom.
• FUN We are a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment. However, we understand that you may want to go for a smoke walk, have a glass of wine at night, or perhaps have friends over for a nightcap. We will not judge you. Instead, we will encourage general wellness and a healthy lifestyle.
• PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION is accessible to the Culver City and Santa Monica bus lines, which take you to the Metro Beach Line.
• SCHEDULE. Our sleep schedule of 9 pm-5 and mindful of guests’ lifestyles. The household noise level is generally quiet. However, we occasionally watch movies and entertain guests, and the sound may echo through the house slightly.
• GUESTS Overnight guests are allowed within reason, and we will discuss on a case-by-case basis. We are not interested in having a regular couple living with us - as it switches the energy in the house. This opportunity is for someone who is on their own and wants this to be their haven.
• FRIENDS We entertain friends and family two to three times a week and are always mindful of the noise level. Lots of socializing entail much communication about your needs. As a result, we will respect your peace and tranquility.
• PRIVACY Your privacy is important. Given this, each room set-up includes a desk for you to work comfortably from your room.

THE COST
We are happy to share our fully furnished space with the right person on a 1, 3, 6 - month lease. We ask for a first and last month deposit, which is returned upon your departure. This is negotiable if you have good references and a recent credit check.
We draft a great contract to protect all parties in advance and ensure your peace of mind.

SHARING
As a family household, you will find us using the shared spaces that include a hammock balcony, fire pit seating, patio area, and kitchen counters. You may also navigate these environments within reason as long as you are mindful that we have a variety of short-term guests that also use the space. Your parking spot is in our quiet and safe suburban neighborhood. Usually, there will be parking right in front of the house. We appreciate socialization, but we encourage independence and productivity during your stay.

We are a newly married queer Latinx couple
Jonathan is a media and content producer with years as an independent business advocate, creator, educator, marketer, owner, and philanthropist. Marlon is a fertility coach and expert in family-building through assisted reproductive technology. We both have a personal passion for metaphysical dialogue, healing arts, and spiritual connectivity — therefore, the mind, body, and spirit are the central part of our shared living experience. We also enjoy bike rides, community meetings, concerts, dancing, karaoke, family reunions, outdoor adventures, park picnics, and watching independent films. Moreover, we began the surrogacy process and expect both a boy and a girl at home within 12 to 18 months. Our typical work schedule is from 5 am to 5 pm, working happily from our home bedroom offices.

THE HOUSE
The largest bedroom is on the second floor and the other bedroom is smaller on the first floor. Both rooms are suite-like with personal bathrooms and enjoy luxurious amenities.
The house has four, fully furnished bedrooms. The master suite has a jacuzzi, shower bath combo, and private access to the balcony. This luxurious space has been an understated bed and breakfast. It's been a family-run business for the last eight years.
The property was managed by Jonathan's retired parents who enjoy eclectic friendships, Burning Man, and dabbling in property investing. They have allowed us to rent and manage the fully-furnished property which we will gradually upgrade into a short-term luxury living business ecosystem.
Aside from having one regular roommate, for a stable income, we intend to have a variety of short-term guests stay with us as well. Most of our guests stay for an average of 3-5 nights and occasionally if they are a like-minded person that fits all of our vibes, then can stay for a longer term.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
If location is everything, then this home is ideally located on the westside. The Del Rey mini-mansion is a private oasis of creativity, innovation, and growth nested between Culver City, Playa Vista, Marina Del Rey, and Venice Beach.
Del Rey is a neighborhood in the Westside of Los Angeles, surrounded
by Culver City, Playa Vista, Venice, and Marina del Rey. The suburban neighborhood is quiet, safe streets, and mixed-family vibes. If you’re looking to exercise, there are a few nice parks within walking distance and the Ballona Creek trail can take you to the beach.
The Westside is home to Silicon Beach, a popular area because of its proximity to Los Angeles International Airport, beach, tech companies, and many Westside favorites.
The nearest shopping malls include the Marina Marketplace, Culver City Westfield Mall, and the Howard Hughes Pavillion.
Some must-see places within a 10-minute drive include the Venice Beach Boardwalk, Venice Canal Walkway, Kenneth Hahn Park, Burton Chase Park, and Downtown Culver City.
We have great online resources to free and paid activities in the greater L. A. area. Examples include Beach Bike Ride Via Ballona Creek, Full Body Chinese Massages, Mar Vista Bowling, and Natural Healing & Spiritual Readings.
