Hey there! I’m Max, a 35-year-old Brooklyn native, and I’m looking for a friendly, respectful roommate to join me in my spacious 1,200 sq. ft. 2 bed / 2 bath apartment in Brooklyn. The lease (you would sign for 1 year) starts on October 1st, and rent is $1635/month plus utilities (around $150).

My current roommate is moving in with his girlfriend, so I’m looking for someone to take over his room. I’ve lived in this apartment for 6 years and have always lived with friends, so I’m looking to keep the same laid-back, comfortable vibe.

The basics:
• Rent: $1,635/month + utilities (currently around $150/month)
• Lease: October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027
• Room: Unfurnished, easily fits a queen bed, desk, dresser, etc.
• Bathroom: Your own private bathroom, directly outside the bedroom
• Apartment: 1,200 sq. ft. / 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms

The Apartment

📍 Location: Great Brooklyn neighborhood with tons of bars restaurants, and coffee shops. We're about 1 block from the Montrose L and roughly a 15-minute walk from the J, M, G

🌿 Outdoor space: We have a great shared backyard, plus private roof access — pretty rare for an apartment like this.

🛋️ Living room: Large, bright, and furnished with a projector, speakers, and comfortable furniture. There’s still room if you have furniture of your own you'd like to bring. With three massive south-facing windows, it’s always bright and currently supports an abundance of plant life

🍳 Kitchen: Large, fully equipped kitchen with plenty of counter/storage space. No dishwasher, unfortunately.

❄️ Climate: Central air + split-level heating.

🧺 Laundry: Laundromat right around the corner.

The Room

The bedroom is unfurnished, so you can make it your own. It comfortably fits a queen bed, desk, dresser, etc., and comes with two large closets plus an entryway coat closet, so there's plenty of storage.

And, of course, your own bathroom — no sharing a bathroom with me.

About Me

I've lived in this neighborhood for 9 years and for 6 in this apartment. I'm into music, cooking, nature, travel.

I'm home fairly often, but I'm also out doing my own thing. I'm pretty easygoing about most things and have lived with close friends for years, so I'm looking for someone who is clean, considerate, communicative, and generally a good person to share a home with.

I'm open to living with a guy or girl, and NYC living experience is a plus.

One important note: I'm allergic to cats, so unfortunately no cats.
