Hey there!

My partner and I are subletting our beautiful, fully furnished room in Williamsburg from mid-January (15th) until approximately late March / early April (dates are flexible). Because our roommates travel and work outside the apartment a lot, the place often feels like having your own apartment.

The Room
The room is about 183 sq ft, bright and airy, with two windows that let in lots of natural light. There is a tree right outside the window, which makes the space feel calm and green — especially lovely on sunny days. The room isn't facing any road, so it's really quiet and you barely hear any sirens or loud voices.
It comes furnished with:
- a queen-size bed
- a table/desk
- a chest-of-drawers and a wardrobe with plenty of storage

The Apartment
- Washer and dryer in the bathroom
- Dishwasher in the kitchen
- TV in the living room, which is very much a shared, cozy hangout space
- Rooftop access with an amazing view of the city
- Wifi

Location
The actual location is closer to the waterfront than what's being shown on the SpareRoom-Map. You’ll be right in the heart of Williamsburg:
- L train: ~7-minute walk
- J and M trains: ~7-minute walk
- CTown supermarket: 5-minute walk
- Whole Foods: ~7-minute walk
- Trader Joe’s: ~15-minute walk
- Domino Park (right by the waterfront): ~7-minute walk
- Bars, restaurants, movie theaters, and cafés are all close by.

Roommates
You’ll be living with two great people:
Andrew, a funny and thoughtful lawyer who loves history, languages, reading, and learning about the world.
Ema, who is clever, warm, and easygoing. She enjoys saunas, coffee, shopping, and relaxed movie nights, and travels frequently for work.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is respectful of the space, easygoing, and ideally interested in a friendly household rather than just a place to sleep. We value a calm, considerate atmosphere and open communication.
We’re not a partying household, and everyone needs their sleep, especially during the week. That said, it’s absolutely fine to have friends over or host a small get-together from time to time — ideally something shared and coordinated with Andrew and Ema, so it feels communal rather than disruptive.
We appreciate people who are mindful of shared spaces, clean up after themselves, and generally care about the apartment and the people they live with.

Please note:
- No smoking in the room
- No pets, unfortunately
- This is an LGBTQ+ household, so it’s important that you’re comfortable in and respectful of that environment

If you’re busy with work or studies, that’s completely fine — we’re all adults with full schedules. What matters most to us is mutual respect, kindness, and a good vibe at home.

Length of Stay
We’re subletting the room because I’ll be having surgery abroad, which is why this is a temporary arrangement. We’re planning to return in late March or early April, but the dates are flexible and we’re happy to work something out.

If this sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you. Write us a bit about yourself, who you are, what you do, etc. Looking forward to hearing from you!
