Hey there! This is Not a private apartment, this is a roommate sitch, I live here too.

I'm renting out one furnished bedroom in my home and you will share the apartment with only me. I?ve been in NYC for 15 years and in this place for 8 of them.

This is usually a 3 bedroom apartment but as I was born a little immune compromised I'm trying to keep the amount of people who live here to a minimum for health/safety at the moment. Also for quarantine sanity, it's a little better not to be stuck with a bunch of roommates in a small living space. SO i'm ok paying a little more money for a little more room and health safety if you are, and in return I?m turning the other bedroom into a creative art studio space/ office for working from home/ yoga room with wall size mirror/ whatever..
Plus everything is all fully furnished with huge wall murals as well.
It's a nice big space for being quarantined in. With roof access and a short walk to the waterfront park.

The Basquiat graffiti mural bedroom is the one for rent as it is on the opposite end of the apartment for more privacy and has two loft-style windows at the top for better light from the kitchen and better air flow. (The City mural room I added photos of is huuuge and an option if you prefer, but it basically has no windows and shares a thin wall with my room so I?m using that one to convert as the extra play-space.) I?m upgrading some furniture in your bedroom like a cuter bed frame and adding a CB2 Glass desk, but you will have a desk chair, a new rug, big dresser, high powered vornado fan, ceiling fan, a small door-length hanging mirror on the closet, plenty of black velvet hangers, small TV with blu-ray player, art ( I can take almost all decorations out of the room if you prefer and shuffle furniture around for your needs. Open to taking down all the wall shelves as well if you want to change up the space.)

Open to short term or long term. Even for just a month, since it's already fully furnished, if you just need a moment to look for other places.

When we had 3 roommates, I moved into my art/writing studio at the other end of the hall in the apartment which is technically an old living room I built out so I already have my personal live-in office I spend pretty much most of my time in.

Also we share my amazing, huge, Diner booth kitchen. It's like having a nice little coffee shop to work from home.
One of the biggest kitchen spaces I've ever seen in NYC. So it's usually the common space/hangout room for board games or laptop work instead of a living room as everyone has TV's in the bedrooms.

I have high speed internet and a nerd approved fast TP-Link wi-fi router setup.

Top floor (so super helpful it's already furnished) with roof access. Not a fancy patio, just an old school Brooklyn roof to have a beer on at night. Amazing view.

My last few roommates have been guys, but it would be cool to live with another girl again.

Here's the fine print:

-No smoking (I have medical issues with my lungs so if you secretly vape please be ok doing so on the roof as even that invisible stuff will legit kill me )

- we?re all going back to work soon, or working from home for the rest of the year?? but if you travel a lot for work it's probably not the best match as I said I don't have an immune system and need a less high risk roommate situation just in this moment.

-No Pets (I'm allergic) .. I know, I know, I suck. Maaayyybe exceptions for small dogs? Depending on how they shed. I love dogs. But not cats. Apologies to cats.

-No couples for now (I'm sorry, I am just looking for ONE person due to health issues right now. And I'm also very over yelling quarrels at 2am and the varied scenario where someone's partner stays here 6 days a week and makes my home a living nightmare of drama but doesn't even pay rent. Phew.)

- this apartment is more like the Brooklyn loft type set-up. The bedrooms are not facing outdoor windows, but have windows at the top for light from the other room. They're big though, super high ceilings, and are enclosed with proper walls going to the ceiling and doors unlike some other loft rooms you?ll find. Also the kitchen is super sunny and bright and Huge.

- it's in a historic building (read, recently renovated but not a new condo) the space is full of fun "curated clutter" but very OCD clean and organized

- The room is ready NOW and we can prorate the rent if you want to move in mid-June.

It only lets me post a small amount of pics so if your interest is sincere I can email you more shots of the other side of the bedrooms.
