Hi all - my name is John, and I am looking for a responsible roommate to share my very affordable two bedroom apartment in South Slope.

The apartment is located on 23rd Street between 3rd and 4th. It is close to transportation (two blocks from the 25th Street R line, a short walk from the 36th Street station, and a short bike ride to downtown Brooklyn), restaurants, bars, a few minutes from Green-Wood Cemetery, and near both Sunset Park and Park Slope, with all they have to offer.

RENT: The rent is $1,150 for the room, plus utilities and internet (between $100 and $200 per month per person, depending on the time of year).

ABOUT THE APARTMENT: The apartment is on the top story of a three unit house. The owners/landlords live in the basement unit, and are very nice people. I am the tenant, and you would sign a Roommate Agreement with me. To move in will cost the first month's rent ($1,150) plus a security deposit of $1,150, for a total of $2,300. The apartment is in excellent condition, gets great light, and has terrific air flow. I have lived here since last January, and I am excited to stay on.

CHOICE OF BEDROOM: I am offering a choice of either bedroom - one with two windows, or a larger bedroom with one window. I have included pictures of both.

The bedroom with two windows is shown with a twin-size bed frame, and the bedroom with one window is shown with a cot-sized bed frame. The bedroom with one window is larger and features a floor to ceiling, seven-foot-wide closet. The bedroom with two windows is a bit smaller, and has a smaller closet, but gets more light. I am happy to rent either.

ABOUT ME: I am a responsible high school teacher who has lived in the Sunset Park area since 2016. I'm looking for a roommate who is financially responsible, respectful of common areas, helps to keep the apartment clean, and doesn't mind keeping the volume down after 9:30pm (I have to go to bed early because I wake up early each day). I am a very responsible and respectful roommate, and I'm looking for someone who will be a good fit.
