Rent Stabilized Sunny Room in 2Bed+Shared Office

Looking for a roommate to sublet one bedroom in a 2-bedroom+office apartment in prime Park Slope, three blocks from the F, G, and R trains, and four blocks west of Prospect Park. The tenant would be signing on to a three month sublet from April 15th (at the earliest; open to later start) to July 31st and will hopefully sign on to the renewed lease beginning August 1st. The unit is on the top floor of a five-story walk-up building, but makes up for it with sunny southern exposure in the bedroom and living room, and a great view of Downtown Brooklyn from the office window.

The bedroom fits a full-size bed, dresser, bookcase, and nightstand. There is a small closet with hanging space and a shelf. The office is both a workspace and a storage space, with space for a second desk or other mid-sized furniture. First two photos show the previous tenant's furniture setup but the bedroom is now unfurnished.

The kitchen is equipped with all the basics, with room in the cabinets for anything you might bring with you. The living room is also furnished but I'm happy to swap out the futon for a proper couch if you're bringing one with you!

The location is a perfect mix of quiet residential street and vibrant, active avenues. Shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars line 5th Avenue in particular, and the building is in the center of a long block, so you get all the access with none of the noise.

Looking for someone who is a direct communicator and LGBTQ+ friendly. There is a cat in the apartment but unfortunately the lease forbids additional pets. Single occupancy only.

I'm the current resident and leaseholder. I'm in my mid 30s and work as an archivist at a nonprofit, currently working remotely one day a week. My pronouns are they/them, and my hobbies include reading, video games, going to metal and rock shows, and watching a TV show or movie a few times a week, depending on what's airing! I treat the apartment as an unwinding space after work and usually go out with friends rather than host, and am looking for someone with a similar mindset. Open to being friends with my roommate, but happy to have a cordial space-sharing situation as well. I have a year-old cat named Bonito, who is the cutest and friendliest cat on the planet, so cat-loving is a must.
