We’re looking for someone to fill the smaller bedroom of our apartment since our roommate Kristin is moving out. It’s really nicely located in the heart of Northern Park Slope. The bedroom is not the biggest in the world (nor is it the smallest), but the common spaces in the apartment are bigger than most in New York and get a lot of sunlight from two skylights.

About the location:
• Two blocks from Prospect Park
• With ten-minutes from four subway stations: the 7th Ave (B/Q), Grand Army Plaza (2/3), 5th Ave/Union St (R), and 7th Ave (F/G) stops
• Full-sized grocery store on the block and within walking distance of Lidl, the Park Slope Food Coop, and Mr. Lime

About the apartment:
• Full 4th floor of a walk-up building (three flights up)
• In-unit full-sized washer and dryer
• One and a half bathrooms
• Large open living room and kitchen with 2 skylights.
• Kitchen includes granite countertops, a large island
• Shared office/library next to living room
• The bedrooms are located in the rear of the apartment so they are quiet.
• Hardwood floors throughout

The bedroom:
• Medium-sized room with a closet
• Dimensions (approximately) 12’ by 7’, but also includes a 3’ by 3.5’ alcove. There is plenty of room for a full size bed (which is what is in it now) and a few pieces of furniture.
• 2 windows that lead to an air shaft with a skylight at the top. (There is natural light, but the windows do not open to the outside.)

About us:
• 1 male professional, 1 female academic
• 30s
• We like to cook, read, and keep grownup hours (quiet after 11 pm)

Things that are important to us:
• Committing to keeping common spaces (especially the kitchen) clean and tidy
• Being communicative about needs and issues
• Being dependable and reasonable
• We’re not cool with smoking, drugs, or pets
• Guests are welcome with some notice, bit we’re only looking for a third roommate and not a fourth one

Logistical and money matters:
• You’d be committing to living at least through the end of March 2027.
• The landlord requires a credit check and possibly a cosigner. He expects you to have a reliable income that can cover the rent (40x)
• You’ll need to pay the first month's rent plus a $1,325 deposit up front.
• You'll pay for 1/3 of utilities:
-Gas - $30-50/month
-Electric - $100ish/month (higher in summer, lower in winter)
-Cable/Wireless Internet - $60/month

If all this sounds good to you, please email us telling us a little bit about yourself, your schedule, and what you’re looking for in roommates.
