1 BR available starting Feb 1st in Park Slope 2 BR + office with one roommate and cat. RENT STABILIZED APARTMENT.
Bedroom fits a full/queen size bed, dresser, nightstand, and bookshelf. It has one closet with hanging space and a shelf on top.
There is also a 3rd bedroom that’s used as an office/additional storage space, so you’ll have extra room in there for working or storing things.
Apartment is on the top floor with an INCREDIBLE view. The office window has about 1.5 miles of visibility across Brooklyn. The bedroom and living room windows overlook tree tops and row homes. No windows look into anyone else's apartment or at a wall, so the apartment is always incredibly bright and feels very private.
The location is excellent, just a short walk from the F, G, and R trains at 4th-9th St stop. SO many shops, restaurants, cafes, and interesting places along 5th Ave in Park Slope. I’ve loved being so close to the YMCA and the library, and the gorgeous brownstone-lined stroll up to Prospect Park.
Your roommate is a 34-year-old archivist for a history nonprofit who works remotely one day a week (usually Wed). They enjoy video games, history, and going out to metal shows. They’re very low-key around the apartment and prefer to use the home as a place to recharge and unwind from the week, and would prefer someone who feels the same.
They also have a 1-year-old cat named Bonito who is the sweetest, cuddliest little baby and loves to play fetch.
The incoming roommate must be queer friendly and cat friendly. Professionals and grad students welcome, no undergrads please.
A lot of the furniture in the shared space is mine (couch, TV + stand, island counter) and will be leaving with me, so if you have a lot of your own furniture beyond bedroom stuff, there’s room for it!
No laundry in building, but there's a laundromat right around the corner (we can also recommend a decently priced pick-up service). There are trash chutes on every floor, which is really handy.
Live-in super is a really nice guy. The other residents of the building are very friendly as well. There's a good mix of folks—older people, families, young professionals. I know a lot of people's names, and it feels very communal.
The main downside is the 5th floor walk-up, but you'll get a nice workout and can enjoy that gorgeous view up here!
Lease currently goes until July 31st, with option to renew.
Heat + hot water included in rent. Shared utilities are electricity, internet, and gas.
