Private bedroom in 2-bed South Slope

I am a 31 year old journalist who works from home full time. I?m looking for one roommate to fill the second bedroom in my two bedroom apartment. Ideally, you can move in Dec. 1 for a one month to six month sublease, with option to extend.

Some details:
? $1,000 per month plus half of utilities (Internet, gas, electric). Heat is included.
? Two-bedroom, first floor apartment on a quiet, safe street in South Slope between 6th and 7th.
? The room comes furnished or unfurnished. If you want furnished, the room includes a twin bed, small stool/nighttable, closet, desk, chair and bright windows that look out on the leafy green, shared backyard.
? Bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment.
? Dishwasher and Stainless Steel Appliances in the kitchen. Kitchen also includes basic supplies.
? Renovated Bathroom with a Shower/Jet Tub.
? Basement Storage
? Backyard Access.
? 10-15 minute walk to two D/N/R stops and and two F/G stops.
? Nearby are Prospect Park; Greenwood Park beer garden; Nitehawk movie theater; grocery stores; pharmacies; laundry; and Park Slope shops & restaurants.
? Plenty of parking in the neighborhood if you have a car.

I?ve lived in the neighborhood for a few years and love it because it?s accessible, quiet, pretty and safe. I?m asking for one month of rent and $1,000 in security to sign on.

When I?m not working I?m usually listening to music, crafting, cooking, practicing bass in my room, reading, watching tv, at a rock show, upstate visiting friends and family, out with friends or on a walk.

? Are hopefully a cat lover without a cat of your own (I have a sweet, playful and well-behaved two-year old cat named Remy).
