I can't overstate how giant this place is! It really feels like each person has their own 1-bedroom apartment, and we just share a kitchen and bathroom. You will have a bedroom plus a giant studio / living room that is completely private. There is also an interior sliding door that can separate your bedroom from your studio.

Your side of the apartment gets lots of great natural light, and is overlooking the garden, so you won't hear any street noises. It's a quiet building in a three family brownstone where everyone knows their neighbors. Also it has a great, very spacious kitchen! Rent is $1400 plus utilities run about $75 per person each month and include gas, electric, internet.

The pros: Giant, charming, private space that is centrally located next to easy transportation in an awesome, safe area of Brooklyn, quiet at night, no loud neighbors. The cons: the apartment is old and has not been remodeled in many years. Everything works fine but expect some cosmetic damages such as chipped floor tiles that are peeling up in places, a missing cabinet door in the kitchen, and landlords are slow to make repairs unless it's something urgent.
