Lovely 1 BR/3BA Duplex + office space + backyard g

Looking for someone from July 12-July 19, 2026 ONLY.

Our spacious and artsy two story home is our haven, with lots of bright light and decorated in vibrant color and from our world travels.
- The bottom floor is open concept design with music room (piano), living room, kitchen, dining room and half bath.
- Upstairs has 3 bedrooms (2 offices and one master bedroom - only one office will be available for use), 2 full baths and laundry facilities.
- Beautiful backyard garden
- Only 5 min walk from Broadway Junction subway.
- Citibikes a few blocks away
- There are stairs to enter the house in addition to accessing the 2nd floor, so this space not accessible for the mobility challenged.

Sleeping arrangements:
- There is one master bedroom with a double bed.

Other Amenities:
- We both work remotely so one office would be available for remote work.
- We have weights, yoga mats and a huge mirror in the living room for those who want to work out at home.
- We don't have a tv but do have a projector/screen and Amazon firestick for movie watching.
- While most folks coming to visit probably will be enjoying food out in the city, the kitchen has all the amenities for making delicious meals, which depending on the season, can then be enjoyed in the beautiful back yard - as well a BBQ is available at such times.

Plant and pet care:
- For stays one week or longer we ask that you water our plants (both indoor and out - depending on season). Please enjoy the garden offerings like tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and more!
- We have a very friendly black cat who will need to be fed (and loved!) daily.
- Because we have a cat, no pets allowed - sorry.

As this is a sublet the space is furnished and we ask that you don't re-arrange things. Bedding and towels are provided. Smoking is allowed in the backyard only. No parties please.

Neighborhood:
We live in an urban neighborhood comprised of mixed races and incomes. In the summer ppl hang out on the streets so there is a lot activity and music. As such, some ppl have felt less safe (we've lived here for 5+ years and I can assure you it is safe) but if this isn't your vibe, we may not be the best place for you! Winters are more quiet.
- For those driving, parking is easy to find on our block.
- We are only a 5 min walk from Broadway Junction, the 3rd largest subway stop in BK which offer the A/C, J and L trains, making access to and from the city very easy.
- We are also a short distance from the JFK by LIRR or taxi (30 min). And a 30 min taxi from LGA.
- Citibikes is the city bike rental service and is very close if you want to bike around.
- Our neighborhood is limited on nearby amenities (coffee shops, etc). Closest coffee shop and grocery store are about a 10 min walk away. Again if you want a place with lots of amenities outside your door, we're not it! :)
- The converted basement apt is a rental. Although they have access to the backyard, they never use it, so the space would be yours. The tenants keep to themselves.

We know you will love our home just as much as we do and know you will care for it as if it was your own!

Renée (she/they) is a filmmaker/performing artist, singer, percussionist and avid gardener. Matt (he/him) is a composer/sound designer and professional percussionist. We have lived in Brooklyn for almost 20 years. We love NY (and know you will too) and love traveling the world.

We are the current owners traveling for a few weeks this summer.
