Renewing my lease and looking for a new roommate to sublease my extra room beginning on April 1st. Ideally 12 months but can be flexible depending on the vibe. Must be LGBTQIA+ or an ally.

The apartment is 2 blocks right off the Halsey J in Brooklyn. Close enough for convenience, but far enough to avoid the noise and commotion. I live on the 2nd floor. The apartment is very modern, with central AC, new appliances and with south facing windows, so it gets lots of sunlight. The room can either come with the bed or we can also have it moved out. The building comes with trash chute, a small gym and laundry room. Roof access available.

A little about me: I’m 32 year old gay actor/creative. Originally from Illinois, but moved here 7 years ago. Recently have gotten myself sober, but that doesnt mean you have to be. I am very chill and not bothered being around it. With that recent change, I have found myself in a new era of being ambitious and setting goals. So I’m a very motivated person to live with who is open to new opportunities and adventures. We’re trying to take every opportunity to thrive in this beautiful city. I currently work a couple different jobs in the Broadway and bartending circuit, so my work schedule is typically in the evenings. I’m a very open minded and outgoing person who loves pop music, horror movies, hiking, wellness, yoga, spirituality, new adventures, etc. I like having a space that is equally inviting for guests and friends, but also a safe haven to come home to after a long day. I am quite clean and tidy in the common spaces and I like to keep things in order. But not in like a Monica Gellar way. For me, its quite simple: communicate well, clean up after yourself and respect the space. Other than that, live your life. I will certainly do the same. And who knows, maybe we’ll become besties. But if not thats cool too. Just dont be rude.

Rent is $1,535 plus electricity and internet bills. Applicants ideally must make 3x monthly rent. Sublease agreement and application with management are next steps. Guarantors accepted.
