The Apartment: Fully furnished, homey, plant filled apartment in Ocean Hill (Bushwick/Bedstuy Area). We’re the top floor of a 3 floor walk up (no elevator) which means privacy & lots of light from our many western facing windows. Our kitchen has a dishwasher.

The Neighborhood: There’s a laundry mat around the corner, 3 grocery stores about a 5-10min walk away, and many bodegas. We’re across the street from an elementary school and there’s a fire station down the street. There’s 3 coffee shops close by, 2 bars/restaurants 2 blocks away, and a community garden with a weekly farm stand 3 blocks away.

Transport: We’re 3 blocks from the A/C, 3 blocks from the J/Z, and a 10-12 min walk to the L. We’re a stone’s throw from a bus stop. It takes about 30 mins to get to downtown Brooklyn, 45 to Union Sq. Our bikes are typically locked outside on the front fence. We are also able to store our bikes in the basement as long as we label them clearly.

ABOUT US:

(1) I’m originally from Brazil, and I’ve been living in this apartment for 3 years. I work five days a week in Manhattan as an art coordinator for film/TV. I’m also an actor and filmmaker who is learning to play the acoustic guitar. I’m a homebody who enjoys listening to podcasts and Brazilian music while showering or cooking/baking.

(2) I was born and raised in Japan, and I’ve been living in this apartment for 2 years. I’m an MFA student studying filmmaking. I also work as a college assistant as well as a creative studio assistant. I enjoy making art in general. I used to do ballet, and now I like crocheting. I’ve recently started shooting and editing fashion films as well. My hobbies include drawing and painting.
