2 Sunny Rooms for Rent in Quiet Apartment

I am looking to fill two bedrooms in my 3 bedroom apartment for a June 1st start with the possibility of an earlier move in (also open to a slightly later move in with prorated rent). The apartment is the second floor of a house in a lovely historic neighborhood with Victorian mansions and beautiful gardens. The bathroom is newly gut renovated with bathtub/shower and skylight. The kitchen gets a lot of light throughout the day and has good shelf and cabinet space.

We are a 7 minute walk to the Q (Beverley Road) with 20-25 minutes to Manhattan, a 10 minute walk to the F/G (Church Av) with easy access to the Lower East Side and Williamsburg, and a 15 minute walk to the B at Church Av (express service to the Upper West Side). There are numerous buses in the area, including 4 express buses to Manhattan. The apartment has easy, quick access to downtown Brooklyn via bus or subway.

There is a laundromat next door, and a large supermarket, post office, and library within short walking distance. The neighborhood has Zagat rated restaurants, bars, an organic food market, a farmers market, and coffee shops. We are a 15 minute walk to Prospect Park and the neighborhood around has plenty of sidewalks, greenery, and beautiful flowering plants, great for taking walks and running.

A bit about me: I am female, early 40s. I work for a university and am also a PhD candidate in the research and data collection phase before I begin dissertation writing. I am currently working from home, but under normal circumstances, I am in and out to work and my research sites. I love living in NYC and enjoy walking around the city, visiting museums and attending events, and trying new restaurants. I am into meditation and like staying active. I am friendly, communicative, considerate, and responsible. While I tend to stay busy, I also like having roommates who want to have a chat sometimes. I am also up for grabbing a drink or a bite to eat. I am upbeat and like meeting new people. I keep the space clean and would ask that everyone chips in. As a roommate, I value communication and working together. I value a living space that feels positive and is good to come home to. I am also looking for the same qualities in roommates.

With the current pandemic, I ask that roommates are keeping safe and practicing social distancing measures such as avoiding large get togethers and keeping in mind to regularly wiping down surfaces in the apartment.

Dogs are not allowed, but cats are okay. No couples, no smoking.

Rent for this room: $950 all utilities and internet included

Room 2:
Room size: 7 ft x 9 ft
Closet size: 4 ft x 1 ft
This room comes with a large walk-in closet in the hallway.
Rent for this room: $850 all utilities and internet included

Requirements: You will be subletting from me, the primary lease holder. The lease is for six months with an option to extend after that period. I am also open to a shorter time frame. Let me know and we can discuss. You will need to show ID and 2 previous landlord references. Rent plus one month?s security deposit equal to one month?s rent is required.
