We are looking for a roommate to move in April 1st. We?re located in the Kensington/Flatbush area of Brooklyn. Those interested would have to provide proof of income (i. e. paystubs). Must be a non-smoker. Queer/TGNC-friendly, POC or ally. Ultimately, we?re looking for a considerate and responsible person and are offering the room on a trial basis. If it's a good fit, our lease will be renewed in August and you can be added on. Having a cat is ok as long as litter is kept clean and that you keep up with your pet responsibilities. No dogs, unfortunately.
About the place:
Our lovely apartment is located on the second floor walk-up (16-steps including a landing) of a house. The place has high ceilings, plenty of common space and has a lot of natural light. We have a big kitchen with dishwasher and pantry, full bathroom, linen closet, hallway closets, and sunroom with a beautiful view of the sunset.
Rent: $866.67/month (note: security deposit is the same amount)
Utilities: Gas, Electricity and WIFI average of $50-70/month
About the area:
There are a lot of food choices nearby. Grocery stores, coffee shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. Prospect Park is about a 15 min walk away.

Note: In full transparency, our last roommate situation has not resolved well due to missing a security deposit from the person. We tried to work out the situation by way of drafting agreements and offering a receipt. As flexible as we were, we weren?t able to resolve the security deposit with them so we?re now looking for a roommate.
