I moved into another bedroom in the apartment after living here for 9 years, and I’m looking for the right person to take over my former room.

If you are a woman who already lives a calm, clean, low-key lifestyle and value a peaceful home, this may be a great fit.

The room is unfurnished, though I can provide a few optional items if helpful. This is a long-term living situation—not an AirBnB—so you’ll provide the remaining furnishings.

Unfurnished private room, approx. 14.5 ft x 11 ft (largest room in the apartment, yet cozy)

No closet; clothes racks provided

Wood floors, ceiling fan/light

Excellent radiator heat in winter

Window with access to the fire escape

Four dedicated kitchen cabinets for your use

THE APARTMENT

Quiet, tidy 2nd-floor walk-up

Shared bathroom and small, functional kitchen (no living room)

Very clean, peaceful space

Monthly preventative pest control included by landlord

Secure entry (bolt lock, chain lock, door lock)

No smoking indoors

No pets (may consider one cat if the litter box is kept in your room)

Electricity (ConEd) and internet (Spectrum) is split evenly.

The apartment has building-provided radiator heat, and gas service is currently off since the stove/oven weren’t in use. A new roommate is welcome to open a National Grid account if they’d like to use gas cooking.

I’m a 48-year-old woman, working full-time (mostly from home).
Calm, neat, and an early riser (usually up around 6 AM).

In my free time, I paint, draw, and read astrology charts.
I’m a light cook (mostly toaster and microwave), dairy-free, and allergic to onions, scallions, and seafood. I need an Onion-Free home due to my allium allergy.

I’m friendly but quiet, respectful of privacy, and I value a home that feels peaceful and grounding.

Works outside the home full-time

Is naturally quiet, independent, and respectful

Never has guests and does not host gatherings because they want home to be a refuge

Does not cook daily or use the kitchen heavily

One month’s rent: $1200

Simple roommate agreement (for both of our protection)
