Private Room in Flatbush

looking to rent one room in a 3B/1.5 in flatbush starting 7/1, ideally someone who is able to co-sign a lease (the landlord is chill with requirements) or can at least commit to the full year.

second floor walk-up. no amenities, but rent is cheap and the area is very accessible! several bus lines nearby and ~12 min walk to B/Q/2/5 stations at Church Ave or Beverley Rd. Kings Theatre is right around the corner, and Prospect Park is only a 20 min walk or 1 train stop away. each room has its own HUGE closet, and tall (~8 ft) ceilings and windows make the place feel bigger. we also have several appliances (portable washer for clothes, countertop dishwasher, microwave, air fryer, other kitchen stuff)

pictures are from an old listing. the last two are of the master bedroom, which i'm willing to give up for additional rent ($1200) - it's on the opposite side of the apartment from the other rooms, so perfect for couples or remote workers who need extra privacy.

we are looking for a roommate who is:
- LGBTQ+ friendly
- not allergic to cats (we have 2!)
- friendly, just keep the cats away & be conscious of smoke or take it outside

about us:
- avery (he/him), 28, working in social services. goth, nerd, and lover of games of all kind - videogames, TTRPGs, even have a growing collection of board games. also love nature & yoga.
- jackie (any pronouns), 23, aspiring costumer. artist, film enthusiast, drag afficionado, gamer. rolls a mean j while dressed to kill.

we usually keep to ourselves, but occasionally go out together to the theater (broadway or cinema), drag shows, goth nights at the bar, or stay in for a movie/board game.
