Cozy and Spacious 2BR in Verdant Ditmas Park

Come share this cozy and spacious apartment with me!

I live in a Flatbush/Ditmas Park 2BR, just two blocks from the Cortelyou Q, on the first floor of a large and pretty nice pre-war building with laundry in the basement. The building is well-maintained and the management company is fairly responsive. The apartment has a large living room, a raised dining area, and well-equipped kitchen ? and I keep it all very clean. The space is fully furnished, with a little bit of storage space, so it?s best suited for somebody who doesn?t have a ton of stuff ? but I?ll work with you.

Rent is currently $994/month for the room, plus about $75/month in utilities. One month deposit required.

YOUR BEDROOM:
The room faces the back alley and has a full-size bed, dresser, bookshelf, one closet, and one window. It gets nice light in the morning especially. At the moment there is also a shared desk in the living room, which I can move to the bedroom if you need a desk to work from home. There is additional closet space in the front of the apartment and additional bookshelves in the living room if desired. The furniture will be gone when my former roommate is able to return to the city and pack up, but for the time being there are basic furnishings available (see pictures).

WHAT I?M LOOKING FOR:
I?m looking for a roommate who is responsible, clean, and will treat the home as their own. I have lived here for a long time and I'm hoping for someone who will also make this place a home for themselves! We might be indoors a lot together if the current circumstances continue, so I?m hoping we can be forthright with each other about our needs for the living space. Ideally, I would like to find friends-of-friends, students/academics, or others who overlap with our communities. Please be queer- and trans-friendly.

ABOUT ME:
I?m a doctoral student at NYU, 33 y. o., queer, currently writing my dissertation (at home at the moment, but usually on campus). I have lived in this apartment for almost 8 years, and can put you in touch with previous roommates if you want to talk to them about what it has been like. I have a long term partner and a younger brother who live in the city who are over regularly but not super frequently (although things look very different at the moment). I also sometimes stay with my partner, so I?m not always there. When I?m at home I tend to work in my room and sometimes read/hang out in the living room. I like to cook meals (that I enjoy sharing!), and have friends over for dinner/movie/low key hangouts every once in a while. There is also a projector in the living room!
