Nov 15 - Large Room in Huge Crown Heights Apt

Looking for a roommate (women & NB folks preferred, no couples) to fill our huge 3 bed/2 bath pre-war apartment in Crown Heights. The move-in date is November 15th. $1,800 monthly rent, with a $1,000 security deposit required. November rent will be pro-rated.

*sublet will end in August 2027 when the permanent resident moves in

Our apartment is 2 blocks south of the Franklin Av stop (2/3/4/5/S), just one express stop from Atlantic/Barclays.
The neighborhood is fantastic; you can see the entrance to the Botanic Gardens from our front door. 5 min walk to the Brooklyn Museum. 10 minute walk to either the northern entrance to Prospect Park (Grand Army Plaza, where there's a farmers market every weekend spring through fall) or the Flatbush entrance (near the carousel). There are TONS of great restaurants and bars nearby. There are 2 big grocery stores (Foodtown and Bob & Betty's), a great 24hr bodega, a 24hr laundromat (no laundry in building), all within 2 blocks.

The room that's available is 11'x19' (218ft²). It has three windows, two large closets, and a private en suite bathroom. The room comes furnished with a queen sized bed, 2 nightstands with drawers, a large plush rug, large bookshelf, medium sized metal storage shelf, 5 drawer chest of drawers, a leather armchair and ottoman, and a TV mounted on the wall compatible with any streaming devices you have. There is a u-shaped window A/C unit (runs quiet!) installed as well.

Heat and water are included, we pay for electric, gas, and internet. Total, that usually comes to $80-90 per person most of the year. But goes up to $100+ each June/July/Aug, if you use a window AC.
The apartment has nice hardwood floors and high ceilings. The living room has a dining table, a large sectional couch, and a large TV. The kitchen has lots of storage space and lots of cooking tools/appliances.

Every bedroom in the apartment is large so we're all able to have a good amount of personal space to ourselves.
We're on the 3rd floor of the building and there is an elevator (very reliable).

About us: We're two women in our mid-30s, both working professionals. We've worked hard to create a homey atmosphere in the apartment. We have a couple of close friends in the neighborhood and we like have host them a few times a month for a movie or game night.

I am allergic to cats, dogs, and incense so I unfortunately can't have them anywhere in the apartment.
