Hey everyone! I’m looking for a reliable roommate to rent one of the bedrooms in my 2B1B apartment right off Nostrand Ave for the upcoming year.

A little about me:
I’m a Bard alum and currently work as an ENL teacher at an NYC public K-8 school. I keep a regular schedule, love a quiet and clean home environment, and don't throw parties. In my free time, I love watching movies, learning new languages, and traveling to new places.

The Layout & Price:

The Apartment: A 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom setup with a shared living/kitchen space. Both bedrooms and the kitchen/living area have wall-mounted AC.

The Room & Rent: The room & closet will come unfurnished and is available for move-in starting September 1st. Rent is $1363/month (rent-stabilized).

Move-in Costs: First month’s rent + one month’s security deposit ($1363).

Lease Term: 12-month lease.

Utilities: Water is included. Wifi, gas, and electricity are split, generally ranging from $75–$150/month total per person depending on energy usage.

Laundry: Washer and dryer available downstairs in the building for a very reasonable/low price.

Pets: Open to considering one dog or one cat!

Commute:
Excellent transit access. It is a 4-minute walk to the Nostrand Ave station for the 3 and 4 trains. Alternatively, the President St-Medgar Evers College station is a 6-minute walk away, granting access to the 2 and 5 trains.

Who I'm looking for:
Someone who is also quiet, respectful, clean, and willing to split the responsibility of keeping the shared bathroom and kitchen tidy.

Application Requirements:
To apply through management, applicants must meet the standard income requirement of 40x the rent (minimum $54,520/year).
