Queer Household In Crown Heights

Hello Friends. My roommates and I are looking for a new person to join our household starting February 1st in Crown Heights.

It is a month to month lease, but we are looking for someone to stick around for a bit as finding roommates is never fun. The room is the largest in the bunch at roughly 9x12 for $885. I can provide pictures to you, but just note that the person has all their stuff in their and it's a bit messy as they are getting ready to move out. Just DM. The room though has a lovely large window that is very private and gets plenty of natural light.

This is a very dog friendly household, so adding one is totally fine, we would just want to make sure that your pup would get along with all the others. There are currently 3 dogs, so you must be dog friendly.

The roommates are all queer/gay. There are a total of three of us, Jordan (they/them), Steph (they/them) and myself (He/Him). We have a great dynamic going on where everyone is communal and friendly, but we all do our own thing. We do have a weekly cleaning duty to keep the main spaces clean, so you must contribute to that. You will be sharing a bathroom with me, but I am definitely a tidy person and since we are sharing the bathroom, I definitely want someone who is tidy as well. We are a 420 friendly house, but we do require that we smoke outside. I know it may seem like a lot of rules, but the dynamic works well with some established ways and living here has been a delight. Our kitchen has all the supplies, so you really only need to furnish your room.

In regards to Covid, we all definitely take precautions, but we do allow guests as we trust each other to make smart decisions that significantly reduces the risk of infecting one another.

About the neighborhood: Definitely a more residential area with a school next door. We have a grocery store/laundromat around the block and blocks away from the 2/3/4/5 trains, so plenty of access and about a 20 min walk to Prospect Park.

We will require a security deposit that is equal to the 1st month's rent.
