Month-to-Month Sublet in Crown Heights, Brooklyn

I have a lovely, spacious apartment in prime Crown Heights and am looking for a roommate to share the space with on a month-to-month lease. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone that's just moving to the city and needs a place to tide them over while they get their bearings, or someone in transition between apartments.

The apartment:

Around 700 sq ft, with an eat-in kitchen, bathroom with tub, and windows in every room. It's located in the back of the building where it's quiet and faces an inner courtyard, not the street. Your bedroom is 115 sq ft, with tall ceilings and one closet with hanging space and shelving. It is furnished with a futon bed that folds up into a couch, a desk/desk chair, and some additional shelving. There is also storage space in the hallway and cabinet space in the kitchen, which you would be welcome to use. Oh, and there is bike storage in the building lobby!

The location:

Couldn't be more convenient for getting into the city or around Brooklyn -- one block from both the 3 at Nostrand (*west side express*) and the 2/5 at President (*west and east side express*) and a ten-minute walk from the A/C. Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum are also just ten minutes away, and there are tons of bars, restaurants, laundromats, delis and supermarkets within close walking distance.

The set-up:

You would be renting one bedroom as your private space and would have shared access to the eat-in kitchen, bathroom, and hall closets. No smoking in the apartment or throwing ragers, but having friends over is totally fine.

Me:

30 y/o female, native New Yorker. Friendly, liberal, generally chill person. I work from home about half of the week, so I prefer the apartment to be fairly quiet (not pin-drop silent, but quiet enough). Other than that, I'm easy.

Rent is $1000 (all utilities and internet included). First month plus one-month security up front. If we like each other, there may be the option to extend :)
