Hi there-

We’re looking for a new roommate for our 3br/2ba apartment in Cobble Hill.

It's spacious, sunny and clean. The neighborhood is a good mix of the quiet charm of brownstone Brooklyn, with plenty of restaurants and bars (with outdoor seating!) on Smith St. and Court St.

The Bergen FG stop is an 7 minute walk, and the 2, 3, 4, 5, and R are about a 15 min walk away.

The rent for this room is $1195/month, plus utilities, which are usually $40-60/month. The room is 9 ft by 17 ft (HUGE), with enough room for a queen or king bed and space for a home office for working from home. All the items in the bedroom photo can be left if needed, as well, if you're new to NY and need some furniture.

Move-in day could be as early as March 1.

Pros: natural light, a huge kitchen with lots of counter space (furnished kitchen equipment), large and furnished living room, room for a home office, good-sized closet, recently renovated, good building management.

Cons: no laundry in the building (but we’re right above a wash and fold), 4th floor walk up.

A bit more on the neighborhood: It's a really nice area, with a lot of locally-owned businesses, and conveniences including several laundromats, pharmacies, and grocery stores (including Trader Joe's) within walking distance. Brooklyn Bridge Park is a 25-minute walk away, and smaller parks (Cobble Hill Park and Carroll Park) are close by.
