Furnished Sublet available for a minimum of 1.5 months and a maximum of 2-3 months starting on August 1st but I do have some flexibility on dates and duration. This is my apartment which I share with two other people, a woman and a man. However, the male roomate will not return to the apartment until September, so for the first month you would only be sharing the space with 1 person. The male roomate also only lives here half time, so come September you would basically be sharing with 1 and a half roomies lol. You would be subletting my bedroom which comes fully furnished + all utilities included. The clothing rack and dresser will be empty for you as well as most personal items removed. *One note. This is written with so many details because it is based on my description for a long term roomate. I still think these details are relevant for a short term sublet as this is our home but if this turns you off this may not be the right space for you.

The apartment is a sun washed 3 bedroom in lovely Clinton hill on Clinton Avenue. This block was rated #31 by time out NY as one of the 50 best blocks to live on in NYC!
Clinton hill is a gem of a neighborhood, that hasn't been "discovered" in the way that Brooklyn neighborhoods like Williamsburg have. It is an elegant neighborhood with old mansions and huge trees where you can walk day or night and feel safe. It still has a tight knit community feeling. All amenities are within a couple blocks (several grocery stores, laundromat/dry cleaner, yoga studios, cafes), as well as Dekalb Ave's restaurant/bar scene and restaurants varying from Japanese to Italian just a block away on Myrtle ave, Fort Greene Park with its Saturday Farmers Market, and we are also just a 15-20 minute walk to downtown Brooklyn's Target, Trader Joes, Alamo Draft house movie theater and so many more conveniences and attractions. The closest subway stop is the G train to Clinton Washington or you can walk a bit further to the C train at Clinton Washington, but a hub of busses (B54, B62, B38, B69 etc) run within a block away and will take you to any train imaginable with free transfer to the subway: A, C, F, Q, B, N, R, 2, 3, 4, 5, L.

This is a cozy and peaceful home that you will be sharing with two other quiet people who work from offices during the week. So, for the most part, during the weekdays, the apt will be mostly yours. YOU should ideally be experienced in living with roommates and/or know the qualities that are necessary to live compatibly with other people. Friendly but aware of boundaries, mature and respectful of others private space and property. Employed or in school or doing something, CLEAN, responsible in general but more specifically with on time payment of rent (without being asked), and shared cleaning duties as well as being conscious of what is ok within a shared space. For us home is a peaceful, clean (shoes off), sanctuary. We have a friendly and positive living environment so we're looking for people who appreciate that and want to help foster it. We don't have to be best friends but I think it's important we all get along well and that everyone feels comfortable in their home and wants to live a similar lifestyle.

This is not a party house. It's a relaxing comfortable place to come home to, mostly quiet especially during normal sleeping hours. The occasional friend/overnight guest/out of town visitor is welcome but please be considerate with the frequency. Everything in moderation people, no heavy drinkers/drug users. Hopefully you are a kind, friendly and progressive individual who might want to share a meal or glass of wine occasionally.

The light filled apartment is old and pre-war, but with classic charms like exposed brick and hardwood floors. We have a sweet fire escape off the living room that looks out onto the buildings backyard making it feel like we have a balcony/outdoor space rather than a fire escape. *** friendly but keep it mostly on the fire escape same goes for smoking-absolutely no cigarettes inside. A couple notes about the pictures and apartment: There is one shared bathroom with tub/shower. It has never been an issue and I've lived here for a long time with roomates. There is no laundry in the building but there is a laundromat one block down and other laundromats within a few blocks. This apartment is charming but lacks any amenities. You get a wonderful neighborhood and tranquil place but no extras. Some of the pictures may be slightly dated so please be aware some images furnishings may be slightly different. Please let me know any questions, I appreciate your understanding.

Happy to do video visits or have you come by to see the space! Please email with a bit about yourself and we can set up a time for a viewing. Thanks for your interest and good luck on your search!
