My husband and I own a small parlor floor duplex apartment in stunning Carroll Gardens (3rd Ave btw Smith and Hoyt) Brooklyn just a half block from the F/G Carroll station and two blocks from the 3rd Ave Whole Foods and Gowanus. I have recently taken an attorney job out on Long Island and we are renting a house there to be closer to my job. Our building is a small, friendly 9-unit co-op and we are on the first floor of a safe, tree-lined, brownstone street. The very best of Brooklyn is literally at your doorstep and Manhattan is just 3 subway stops away. The downstairs is a large cheerful and charming private and quiet space with a door, about 400 square feet with a separate entrance, newly renovated half-bath, washer-dryer, A/C, roomy closet and wardrobe, lots of storage, and ample bedroom-sitting room-home office space. Upstairs is a shared newly renovated full bath and modern kitchen with full size steel appliances including dishwasher and microwave. Our room is the living room/convertible bedroom off kitchen and main entrance. We plan to use our room as a pied a terre for the occasional weeknight/weekend so you would basically be getting the privacy of a $4k-5k per month beautifully decorated and furnished apartment for less than half the price. We are a sober couple looking for a quiet professional seeking a comfortable and lovely home in beautiful Carroll Gardens. One month deposit / credit check / sublease agreement req.
