The room - 9” 3’ length and 5” 9’ width

The room is small (9” 3’ length and 5” 9’ width) and just fits a full size bed and shelves for clothes which it comes furnished with. Note a wide angle lens was used for these room pics. The guy who lives here is moving to the west coast.

(There is another room that is larger for $1500/mo that has a closet that is also available for rent. I live in this room right now but am moving but will be moving down south. Will make another listing for this later this week. Also open to someone who wants both rooms for $2500 to use the smaller room as an office/studio space.)

Water and heat is provided by the landlord. We split the electric, gas, and internet bill.

Ideally we are looking for someone to take over the lease agreement.

Living wise we’re a bit health-centric. We like to make sure there’s proper ventilation by opening the windows and the door when we’re cooking with the gas stove/oven. We hand wash plastic utensils instead of putting them in the dishwasher.

Vibewise we clean up after ourselves within a reasonable time of cooking and eating. It’s fine to have the apt a little lived in but prefer to have it generally tidy/neat. We’re looking for someone willing to keep that and the above up with us.

Location wise we’re very close to Smith St and Court St and around us, the block is mixed: public housing nearby, plus brownstones and a lot of restaurants/bars around Smith & Court. Ethan Hawk lives on a street a few blocks north of us, I’ve run into him on that street once. (I’ve also run into Peter Dinklage a few doors down on our block.)

Further out it’s very easy to walk or bike to nature: Prospect Park (30 min walk, 12 min bike) or Brooklyn Bridge Park (25 min walk, 9 min bike ride).

It’s also very easy to get to downtown Brooklyn (18 min walk to Target or a 6 min bike ride) or Red Hook.
